Yeah... Seanan is not easy to get if don't like fae novels. Or weird supernatural beings. Or zombies. Or parasites in the brain. Or killer mermaids. For those of you that don't know Seanan McGuire is her UF writer name and she also writes as Mira Grant (horror and sci-fi)
I did not know that. A couple of the Wayward Children books were really wonderful. I have yet to read a Grant book.
i'm a bit biased since i've read everything she's written under both of her pen names but i think she's brilliant lol wayward children has definitely turned out to be her most popular series i think, but it's unsurprising since it seems most really popular books are YA these days. at any rate, i'm glad that it's causing her to get more recognition because i think she totally deserves it!
I enjoyed both of Feed and Into the Drowning Deep, but (the marvellous Tybalt aside) didn't really get along with Rosemary and Rue :(

I liked the initial October Daye's books BUT, the series only did it for me from book #4 on.
I'm still not up to date, but will be eventually.
Oh yeah, he likes Tybalt. He likes him so much that he wants him all to himself. Which of course, I did not agree. Hence, the fight.

It’s a bit disappointing that the last few books in that series haven’t been released in kindle or audible UK versions.
haha i didn't really like him until later in the series. i just think he comes across as too arrogant in the early books, but i guess he is a cat ;) i do love him now though
incryptid is kind of hit or miss for me depending on who is the protagonist for the book, but they are a lot of fun. i was going to reread them all but i got stuck on book 3 because i don't like it that much lol
i liked it but i felt like i had more questions than answers by the time i was done with it lol. that could just be me being temporarily stupid though ;)
The Wayward Children series is the only thing I read by Seanan McGuire so far and I think it'll stay that way. I just don't wanna get disappointed since I'm usually not really into fantasy that much :( I miiiiight give one of her horror/sci-fi books a chance at some point though
Is Tower Teams happening this year? I already missed the WAT u.u and I'm a team challenge addict hahaha
Paula wrote: "Is Tower Teams happening this year? I already missed the WAT u.u and I'm a team challenge addict hahaha"Eagerly waiting for a new Tower Team as well!
Karen ⊰✿ wrote: "Yes probably around September for Tower Teams"Any particular diet or exercise regimen we should take on now to be ready for it?
Any hints on what books we should put off reading until then?
Please oh please...
last year was my first tower teams and it was really fun. is it always based around a particular book series or are the themes more varied?

You can see the themes here:

It has been pretty varied. The first year there was no theme, so TTII was the first theme - Crayola colours ;)

This one is ❀Tea❀'s baby. I just checked the thread where she first started thinking about it and throwing around ideas with the mods....and it was in September 2018.
That's a lot of time for the chipmunks to run wild ;)

Anyone else having visuals of the Mods dangling us over a pit of fire, while we try to climb a fraying rope to reach the books we need before the rope disintegrates? Just me? Hmmm.

After I kept picturing rabid chipmunks last time, I try not to do any more visuals where the mods are concerned with these challenges

One of these times, I will learn to keep my thoughts to myself. Teehee.

lol
lol
I’m still thinking of rabid chipmunks. If we get Umber again we’ll be taking them on in the fighting pits.
I'll have you know the chipmunks are perfectly healthy! Any craziness is just their natural state ;-P
I'm not sure whether I should be scared or excited by this, lol.How much time will there be between Wheel and this new one?
Love how you keep coming up with new things. And personally I LOVE the Wheel of Brown.. Even the letter U..

So no time to speak of then, lol!
I will probably spend those few intervening days reading graphic novels, children’s books sans verified word count, and other things that don’t count. ;)
oooh sounds interesting. will this challenge end up overlapping with tower teams or will tower teams start shortly after this one is over?
How will this work in practice, how will we get the teams together? What if I'm a total loser and nobody wants to play with me?
Oh Camilla, that would never happen. You can be on a team with me if you want. I like getting to know new people.
Or me, Camilla!
There will be a thread for people to connect with teams & vice versa, so you can take your pick:)

I was going to say well I guess I'm out since I have no friends lol This is like the "pick a partner/group for a project" anxiety I had in high school.
