Girl has powers, red ruby ring from family that is all I remember. Read when I was a teen or younger.

Okay so it was a YA or similar type of genre. This girl was coming of age and she had powers (maybe a family of witches?). The most specific memory I remember is that she got a ruby ring to signify her becoming a young woman or adult or what not. I read this back in maybe even elementary school. Shorter book if I'm remembering right. Want to find and reread! Thanks everyone. :)
