Yay! All right, so character creation? We should each play a guy and a girl, so, you can get dibs on whether you want the rebel guy or girl, and the same with the government ones. So what do you prefer?
How about the rebel girl and government guy...?

alright. I'll change their ages in a bit. Where do you wanna start?
Okay. Hmm well maybe it's the eve of a space battle or something? And both sides are getting ready? Are our characters already gonna know each other?
Okay, that makes sense. Do you want our government peeps to know each other and the rebels to know each other or do you want like one rebel knowing one in the gov. or something?
Oh it would be cool if they'd like all grown up together and then sort of split their separate ways! What do you think?
And maybe they get like stranded together, cause like both of their ships crash on a planet?
Ooooh! I like that. The four of them grew up together then once they went their separate ways, they chose different paths. Sure. That sounds good to me.
Would you like to start?
((Awesome! And sure thing!))You could cut the tension in the air on the imperial command ship with a knife. Naturally it had Ana Frey on edge as well. She stood ready by her two person fighter, waiting for orders to climb aboard and set out. The hangar bay was silent with other pilots awaiting the same thing. Ana looked over at her flight partner, Holden, and was slightly reassured. With her best friend having her back, there wasn't a lot that could go wrong.
Meanwhile, things were quite different not far away on the Rebel command ship. They'd been alerted only moments ago of a imperial fleet approaching, and hadn't much time to get ready. Ben Larkin had been roused by sirens, and had tried to get in uniform as quickly as possible while running to the hangar bay. He was hopping, tying the laces on his boot and trying not to loose his balance. Once at the fighter, he straightened his cap and looked around for his partner.
Holden was standing still, not looking around. Just focused in his own head. He wanted them to just give the orders. It felt pointless to just stand there even though their fighter was right there by them. He sighed softly. Sloane hadn't been asleep, unable to fall asleep. So when the sirens went off, she just had to grab her hat and tie her hair up into the uniform standard. She ran to the hangar bay, hat held by her mouth as she quickly tied her hair up into a bun at the nape of her neck. It wasn't perfect, but it'd work. She smirked when she saw Ben. "Took you long enough." She teased as she put on her hat.
Finally the command came over the loudspeakers, and suddenly the whole hangar was filled with noise of pilots climbing into their ships and getting ready. "Well, let's go," Ana looked over at Holden again, and then climbed into the gunner seat. "Says the one who didn't just finish a twenty four hour guard shift," Ben smirked in response to her teasing. The laces of his boots were still untied, but he went on and started up the ladder into their ship.
When the command came, Holden quickly climbed up into the plane. He slipped on his headset before beginning to start up the plane, moving quickly so they could be one of the first few out. "Whatever." Sloane climbed up into the gunner seat of the plane. "Tie your shoes before you trip." She told him.
Ana strapped herself in and got ready as Holden started up the plane. She put her hands on the missile controls. "I'm fine, we don't have the time," Ben replied. The shares were going off, and ships were already leaving the hangar. "Ready?" He asked, starting up the engine.
Holden strapped himself in with one hand, starting to navigate the plane out of the hangar. He bit his lip lightly. "Yep." Sloane nodded. She quickly strapped in, taking off her hat cause it was just bothering her. She put her hands on the controls, ready.
Ana made sure she was properly strapped in and got ready. She knew as soon as they left the hangar they'd probably come in contact with rebel fighters, and it was shoot or be shot. Ben lowered the hatch and let the fighter lift up. He then skillfully steered them toward the exit way, following the path of the other fighters.
Holden quickly got out of the hangar, letting their ship take off. He looked around and quickly moved them to a better, less open position. Sloane shifted in her seat, ready to start shooting. She bit her lip lightly.
Ana's eyes were glued on the scanner, waiting for a sign of any rebel ships within range. Once they were guided through the hangar and out into space, Ben increased the power and they took off. He saw a cluster of imperial fighters up ahead, and zigzagged the ship so as to be harder to target.
Holden kept focused on watching for enemies as he flew, darting around to be harder to hit. He piloted with one hand, running the other one through his hair. Sloane saw the enemy ships and focused. She chose one to target, quickly adjusting the missile settings before firing.
The target screen locked on a rebel fighter, and Ana started to fire. Three missives shot out, one missing, but the other two hitting their mark. The fighter exploded, and the target screen locked on another. Ben grinned as he flew, making the fighter go into a roll to narrowly miss an imperial missile. He saw rebel ships exploding around them, but to his relief, just as many imperials.
Holden kept moving to keep them safe from missiles, knowing Ana could keep firing. He just focused on keeping their ship intact. Sloane locked onto more of the imperial ships, firing More missiles.
Ben brought them out of the roll, and realized where he'd put them probably wasn't the best position. They were right between two other of their fighters, making them an easy target. And there was a cluster of imperial fighters heading their way. Ana let loose a long string of missiles, hitting three of the rebel ships. Two of them exploded immediately, but the other one only had its wing hit, and went into a spin.
Sloane saw the imperial fighters coming their way and let off a quick string of missiles, targeting as many as possible. "Nice." Holden commented as he kept flying. He was focused on his task but noticed how good she was doing at hitting her targets.
Ana grinned. "Thanks!" She called back. She aimed the guns at another rebel fighter and let loose. She hit it on the wing and it went into a spin. "Shit!" Ben shouted. The wing of their fighter had been hit, and warning lights were starting to flash. He knew it wasn't too bad, as long as he could get back in control.
Holden nodded. He kept flying, navigating around other ships. Keeping them safe but also making sure Ana could still have lots of targets. Sloane swore as they started to spin. She couldn't do much, only having control of the weapons.
((So i was thinking they could end up shooting each other down? What do you think?))Ben was able to mostly gain control of the ship again. They were at least flying steady now, even if it was at half power. "Keep 'em off our back while I get us back to the ship!" He called to Sloane.
Ana fired more missiles, exploding another ship entirely.
(Sure. That works for me.) Sloane nodded. "Got it." She said in reply, her focus quickly going to the enemy ships, sending missiles at the closer ones first.
Holden kept flying, dodging debris and loose missiles. He bit his lip, focused.
Ben was trying his best to keep the ship stable, but just when he thought everything was fine, the warning lights started to flash again.Ana continued to fire at fighters.
Sloane kept firing, focusing on her task and ignoring the flashing lights to her left from Ben's side. Holden turned to dodge a missile and ended up getting clipped by another one on the tail of the ship. He swore, the ship teetering.
The ship had started to go into a spin again. "We're going down!" Ben shouted. Ana felt their ship get clipped again as well, but didn't stop shooting.
Sloane didn't answer. She wasn't just gonna go down. She was gonna go down fighting till the end. Holden did his best to work with the new unbalanced ness of the ship.
Ben knew they couldn't make it back to the hangar. As far as he could tell, their only option was to try and land on the planet below. Ana could feel the ship shaking, but continued to fire.
Sloane kept firing, working as best as she could with the unbalance of the plane. Holden kept working against the ship, trying to get it to stay steady.
