Lois Herr | 16 comments If you go to my website www.loisherr.com you'll see I have already published three non-fiction works. Each was published in a different way - the first by Northeastern University Press, the second self published, and the third with Xlibris. Each method has its advantages and disadvantages. I'm working now on a 3-part memoir entitled "Audacity, Courage, and Survival." The first part is based on my corporate work experiences in a man's world; the second will be my adventures as a farmer, and the third my foray into politics. You can reach me personally at herrlk@me.com.

Harold, you might want to check out VFA.US, which is the website of the Veteran Feminists of America - has nothing to do with military veterans but with veterans of the feminist wars, particularly of the 1960s on.

Bridgette MacLean (bmaclean) | 7 comments From my website at Thinking Too Loud.

It's a collection of political essays, mental health essays, and my favorite form for the web the "100-word story".

So here is Underground. A micro-fiction in 100 words.

"One. Two. Three." I counted in the dark. People huddled in the crowded subway tunnel smelling of damp wool coats, black-market cigarettes, coal dust and fear. Momma held my hand squeezing it tight to calm us both. Papa was upside fighting the fires that followed the explosions of Hitler's rockets. People shifted uncomfortably on the floor as the shelter shook. Everyone counted the time between the engine's death and the detonation above. Momma picked me up holding me tight in her lap.
"Let's count together."
I nodded in the dark leaning on Momma's salty cheek. We waited together.
"One..."

Bruce E. | 159 comments After first encountering the galaxy that was far away and a long ago, I looked for an early history of our galaxy or even our part of the galaxy, so I decided to create that history. It started around 200,000 years ago with a young Tovazi named Jeevra, although the Tovazi’s creation story goes farther back than that. In four books it follows the evolution of the galaxy to the near present. Again, it alludes to turn of the 19th century when an alien name Maglie has an affair with my grandfather and in the tradition of Edgar Rice Burroughs gives him documents which later used to write the history. I definitely view it that way. At one point I had decided to never admit that it was fiction. I found that impossible to do.
It was our galaxy, yet things happened that science does not acknowledge. So how do I adjust our view of our universe so that is not a problem? In my blog (Jeevra.blog) I correspond with three women from my books. The beginning and last six letters mostly deal with our universe. There are references to all four books including the final section dealing with how we should view life in our universe.
