Are we good to go Phani?Whats the name of Chapter 44 in your book. "Beginning" or "Rise"?
I have "Rise".
I have to download it... Any problem?
No problemo.Just observed that there are two versions floating... with different name of Chapter44. Content is still same so it doesn't really matters.
Total 44 chapters.Will be starting tonight and I intend to read *atleast* 5 chapters daily.
Nice..I can't promise to read fixed amount daily...as i read based on the mood and may not read more than a chapter or may read half the book on the strech...
Anyway by the work i have i think i ll take long time to finish it.

Have read till Chapter 4. Chapter 4 was a bit more tangible. Hopefully I'll be able to grasp better from here....
Started today.Read two chapters... Should read more to get the feeling of the story, but excited by the basic situation of story.
Nice :)I completed Part I (Chapter 5)... and was so lost and confused.... almost thought of giving up. Since this is my first fantasy book, I will restart from the beginning.
Try it.. I liked some twists till now. Things may be unclear because we don't know enough things about the background.

how i thought of reading atleast 5 chapters a day... and that was a week ago.. LOL!
Eo is the character which impressed me.... most sensible Red.
too bad she goes off so early in the book... i wish her "reborn"
On chapter 12. this is addictive. since chapter 7, I'm thinking of sleeping after finishing *this* chapter!finally dozing off...
somehow reminds me of matrix. Darrow is like neo, Harmony Trinity, dancer Morpheus
Interesting when you connect to matrix like that.I felt it is similar to Asimov's writings by the setup.

my family is back.... I'm taking a couple of week's reading break...done with carving part and now he's gold!!! damn interesting!
I really loved the story and it has a great potential. It's the only reason I completed it quickly. But I can't say I enjoyed writing. I don't know if the writing was not good or I am still having a hangover from reading Worm. I wish there were more details about fights and strategies.
For the story and its potential to be a great one, I would give 5 stars.But for writing i would give 3-3.5 stars
if story has potential then the series must be worth pursuing too...

Yes. Hanging on with Red Rising. On the part when he's tolerating all that torture of the Gold world. I'm reading a lot lesser nowadays and will take a couple of weeks to finish this.

On the part just after the Passage. It reminds me of Hunger Games now....I was wondering what for the maps are given at the beginning of the book.

Oh!! I didn't know there were maps...and had slight difficulty while reading....

At around 40% mark.Making slow progress with hardly a chapter a day. Will be reading more after Monday.
Thought of finishing it before 19th May earlier... I knew reading will almost stop with family reunion :)
Now again its a difficult read. Very difficult to imagine a parallel universe with so much of stuff happening simultaneously. The Gold names are impossible to spell out. Somehow identifying characters by their initials.
The way Darrow's character is building up is mindblowing!
I love Cassius too (Julian's brother)... and the way Julian's death keeps coming back in Darrow's head, I'm sure that death will play a major role to tense the relation!
I still don't know what that map is for. May be there will be interactions among other houses on Mars and the map will be useful then....

Just do me a favour and tell me this without any spoilers : Could this be read as a standalone book or the ending a cliffhanger which compels you to read further parts?
You would want to read other parts to see what happens. But there is no big cliffhanger like "Is Jon Snow dead?".
But that is not true for next book.

The thing is Darrow didn't want to tell others that ArchGovernor cheated for his son.But, they have all the footages, and i was wondering if they already didn't know that.
So, is this a mistake by the author or some subtle hint which i missed.
All the conversations related to "ArchGovernor cheated for his son" were not captured in the footage as they all took place in a shielded environment.But even then, most of the Proctors had the hint of ArchGov vouching for his son.

Actually yeah! How does it matters whether Darrow keeps mum about it or not. Hmmm a valid point.
