Dawn | 8 comments I read a lot, but usually fluff - easy, romance. This year in addition to all my escapist books I am reading one book per week that is of some amount of literary merit or outside of my usual reading categories.

For expediency's sake, so far this year I have read 13 "better" books:
1. Graem Simsion, The Rosie Project
2. Jane Griffin, Promises to Keep
3. Maria Semple, Where'd You Go Bernadette
4. Kierra Cass, the Elite
5. John Grisham, Calico Joe
6. Agatha Christie, Murder on the Orient Express
7. Andy Weir, The Martian
8. Susan Elia MacNeal, Mrs. Roosevelt's Confidante
9. Jo Jo Moyes, Me Before You
10. Paula Hawkins, The Girl On The Train
11. Kiera Cass, The One
12. Truman Capote, Breakfast At TIffany's
13. Katja Millay, The Sea of Tranquility

We just finished the 17th week so I have some catching up to do.

Jill Tool I enjoyed reading The Rosie Project, Where'd You Go, BernadetteMrs. Roosevelt’s ConfidanteThe Girl on the Train, which I just saw the trailer for it and the movie looks like it will be a good one to see. You have a couple more on your list that I want to read this year.

I was not a huge fan of the Girl on the Train, but I loved the other four! I wonder if the film will be better.
