Claire and Jamie reunite and attempt to extinguish fires until Claire makes an unexpected change of course; Jamie and Claire's relationship is tested when the past rears its ugly head.

I absolutely loved this episode. I hate to gush.. but OMG! I laughed so hard at the scene with the King and BJR. The looks on Claire's face were priceless. I loved loved loved the scene with Jamie and Claire fighting about owed lives and revenge. Poor Jamie. There was not one thing about this episode I could say a negative thing about. Except maybe that I wish it had been longer.
I totally agree with you Tessa! I loved this episode and the new introduction of BJR was outstanding. The actors were brilliant during every scene Claire, Mary, Murtagh, BJR, King Louie, Comte St. Germain, and especially Jamie who had me tearing up during his confrontation with Claire. The hour went by so fast I just couldn't believe it was over already. When the screen went to black I was saying no...wait.....you can't end there, I need more!!! Looking forward to the next episode.
OMG! When BJR says Claire's name just like FRANK, was totally creeped out!!!!
The scenery was so beautiful! Was it really Versailles? I went to Paris 5 years ago but Versailles happen to be closed for a national Holiday when I was there ! :*(
I believe the outdoor scenes were a mixture of Prague, England (i can't remember where)
Every time Claire yells at Murtagh my heart breaks. He's like a scruffy Scottish puppy that follows Jamie around everywhere and loves him unconditionally. He even punishes himself when he feels that he has let Jamie down. Poor Murtagh. I want to smack Claire with a rolled up newspaper every time she's mean to him.
This episode was so crazy good.The scenery was breathtaking...almost sublime, really.
I absolutely was not expecting BJR to roll up in there the way he did! And the King was so smooth. I loved him making BJR beg on his knees. That's just what BJR needed...humiliation.
And that fight between Claire and jamie....wow! I always loved their fight scenes, both in the books and in the show. I think it is because they both get to the heart of their issues and basically pour their souls out to eachother. When Jamie told her not to touch him, I can't describe they way I felt. I felt bad for jamie and scared for claire because when the man you love looks at you the way jamie did claire in that scene, it shakes you to your soul.
Excellent episode...probably my favorite besides the first episode of this season.
