Game of Thrones S6 Discussion <spoilers>

Going to have it hard avoiding spoilers till it's out on Monday in the UK..

I shall be participating, don't I always? lol....I feel like a child & its the night before Christmas hahaha.....I can't wait....Still anxious about Jon Snow, & I do not know what they're doing about his storyline, but can't wait to find out......
As for the shorter episodes following Season 6...It' a bummer, but I wonder if ADOS is not going to be a lengthy one as GRRM's previous books?

What did you think of it? Or is it too early to discuss...I don't want to spoil it for others?

What did you think of it? Or is it too early to discuss...I don..."
I wish someone would discuss the episode so I can decide if I'm going to watch it or not.

Where did the 2 men and 2 dogs go after they found Sansa, in the melee that followed, they seem to have been forgotten.
I KNEW that there was something unearthly about that damned necklace, and I've been waiting for the answer since I first saw it.
The episode flew by, with so much information it was just excellent eye-candy....not a minute wasted.
Gird your lions folks.....

Dorne: ok, it's gotten interesting but where could that plotline be going in the show? In the books it seems clear Dorne USA red herring.
Jamie and cersei: I thought mycerlla would tear them apart. Maybe I should be happy it brought them closer?? But eww and ceresi is so bad for Jamie. I much prefer the way it was going in the books. How the hell is Jamie going to kill her now?
Sansa: finally! Sansa is making choices. She's managed to get out from another controlling figure. Now she's got a knight and a couple of servants. That's not quite a litter of baby dragons but its something. But where does she go from here. It must be back to Stannis. They simply wouldn't make it to the wall in there current state. And I don't believe there are other keeps a day walk from winterfell.
Arya: i prefer the book version /shrug. Should be cool though.
Tyrion: so, getting Tyrion to Dany must have been grrm's answer to both the meerenese knot and how dany can compete in westeros. D&D throwing varys in there will believably put dany on a fast track out of meeren.
Jon & Melissandre: more about Daavos. Love his stepping up. Melissandre will likely raise Jon but will there be fire? I think there will. PS I don't think Jon is in ghost... But maybe? How would we even know?

He put a sword through his neck.

Jaime/Cersei: It seems there will be no break in their relationship, he is enthralled to her & his redemptive Arc may be coming to an end...I look forward to his face off with the HS & of-course 'I choose violence'....
Tyrion/Mereen: Varys, 'she thinks you want to eat her baby' gave me a chuckle. But the scene went on for too long as they strolled about....The burning of Dany's fleet? I don't think the Harpies did it, they'd have nothing to gain by it....But Euron Greyjoy would have plenty to gain, by destroying Dany's fleet. His next step to kill his brother & take the Iron Crown, then send Yara/Asha(who is taking Vic's part( to Mereen and offer Dany some much needed ships....So I see the hand of Euron in this and no the Harpies.
Jon/Castle Black: Ghost haunting howl, it brought tears to my eyes & to see Jon laying there dead....heartbreaking...Ser Davos was magnificent & I love Edd & Mel's words 'I saw him in the flames fighting at Winterfell' more confirmation he will be back...I would prefer it if he came back through fire...maybe Bran will play a part. Melisandre revelation was no biggie, in the books, it pretty much confirms she isn't how she presents herself, she is glamored. Thorne scene was good, but felt the other brothers who took no part in killing Jon accepted it too quickly-the scene was rushed....But next week comes the reckoning for the mutineers.
Sansa/Theon/Brienne/Pod: Loved it all. Pod is a badass lol...anyone note that Theon killed the Bolton soldier the same way that Pod saved Tyrion?...Loved the way Theon tried to protect Sansa & that Sansa hasn't suddenly become a 'bad boss bitch'...her character development will take time(& that's good)...I noted Brienne laying Oathkeeper at Sansa's feet. Oathkeeper is a part of Ice, her father's sword, poetic justice...This is also Sansa's first decision in breaking Littlefinger's hold over her, she will head to CB, where Davos will council her & this will also move her even more away from Baelish(Davos will help support her wheras Baelish abandoned her)..It's going to be interesting...
Ramsay/Roose: Setting the scene for the demise of Roose at his sons hands. Silly move by Roose to threaten his psycho son, who is ready to feed his 'beloved's' remains to the dogs. It also shows that Sansa's words have taken root in Ramsay's mind.
Arya: not much to be said, except that she needs to remember Syrio's words and as for the waif, I wont cry if she meets a nasty end.
And in the released trailers...One has to wonder what the new Red Priestess in Mereen really looks like...she is dressed like Mel.....
A good start, but some scenes lacked logic and at times too rushed....

So mycerlla dies, Jamie sails back to kings landing commissions an engraved coffin and golden shroud. While trystane sails back to sunspear. Now what? All of the martells are dead and the ex prostitute is on the throne? That makes NO sense. They should have kept arianne so at least the ruler succession makes sense.
I wonder if we're going to meet "Darkstar" Gerold Dayne. Literally the last interesting character in Dorne.

lol very valid points, as I said in some aspects the watcher simply needs to suspend logic...Do these guys even register these inaccuracies or do they hope we're all as dim as the Sandsnakes? lol
I don't think Darkstar will be brought in & that's a shame as he is an interesting badass character...It seems all of that has been condensed into Ellaria Sand & she seems to have the Dornish army on her side...And yes, in a succession sense including Arianne would have improved the show......
Another point I mean to make is the scene between Margaery & the High Sparrow....He is a sly old fox and will try & use Margaery to influence Tommen and place a wedge between mother and son...He seems really intent on destroying Cersei...I wonder if Margaery will play the HS at his own game?

That is what I am hoping will happen...As Jon Snow he burnt his hand, but now that 'Snow' has died,--Arise Jon Targaryen, whose body is not consumed by the flames, but blood magic will have to be involved because unlike Dany, Jon has died....So who will die to save Jon? Bloodraven? He is the only one with royal blood nearest the Wall....
How are D&D going to convey to the unsullied audience WHO Jon is and make sense of it..and WHEN will they do this?

Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) meets her future. Bran meets the past. Tommen confronts the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce). Arya (Maisie Williams) trains to be No One. Varys (Conleth Hill) finds an answer. Ramsay gets a gift.
Written by David Benioff & D. B. Weiss; directed by Dan Sackheim
I've said it on other forums.....In the trailer you hear a voice say 'do you like to play games, little man?' The voice is Ramsay Bolton(I am certain of it). Now 'little man' is a term one would use on a boy/child.
My own speculation....(view spoiler)
I also think Varys will finally find out why he lost his er vital bits and what the flames told him.....

That is what I am ..."
Tower of Joy Flashback. Jon origin will be revealed and WOW he's ICE AND FIRE at the same time! Mel will explain, etc. Should be done in the next couple episodes. Jon should be alive and fighting during the last 4 episodes at least.
Jaime reverse character development is so awful u_u

Secondarily, Dany talked about her impossible child-bearing prophecy (sun rises in the west etc). There has to be a reason to mention that. Yes? The Vaes Dothrak prophesied that her son was to be the "stallion that rule the world" (something along that line) before he supposedly died. Perhaps the son is not dead, and through him, Dany unites the Dothraki clans?

Going to VD will give her an army. This new khal seems weak enough to fall in line behind someone else. He doesn't seem like a leader.

Let me know what you think?

Japhia these pics were released by HBO itself, they've been out for months now, the trailers followed, but I'm sure everyone saw them.
I don't know if you have seen Season 5 but..... (view spoiler)
so it can't be who you say.....
With pics & trailers that have been released by HBO with the approval of Dan and Dave, I don't consider to be spoilers.....but insider leaks or pics that are published before an episode has gone to air is indeed a spoiler & I wont be placing them on a thread......
The synopsis for Episode 3 has been released if you wish to read them on the net:)

Let's not get so far ahead of ourselves please....this is about
Episode 1 remember?

Pretty sure it does not refer to Dany. It may well be irrelevant. I don't think so. Dany's first dialogue in S6E1 was probably chosen very carefully by producers for an important reason. But, I know nothing as well.
"As swift as the wind he rides, and behind him his khalasar covers the earth, men without number, with arakhs shining in their hands like blades of razor grass. Fierce as a storm this prince will be. His enemies will tremble before him, and their wives will weep tears of blood and rend their flesh in grief. The bells in his hair will sing his coming, and the milk men in the stone tents will fear his name. The prince is riding, and he shall be the stallion who mounts the world."

Let's not get so far ahead of ourselves please....this is about
Episode 1 remember?"
It's the synopsis of Episode 3 entitled Oathbreaker & HBO has released the synopsis only, but don't worry I wont be placing it on this thread....its on the net if others wish to see...

He's not writing any more scripts for the show.

He's not writing any more scripts..."
What Nelson said lol...

No, the guy was the Boltons Maester, I don't know why he is included, unless Ramsay is going to write some sort of 'pink letter'....

And to be fair.. grrm teleports people in the books as well. Which if it makes a better story I don't mind. Reading/watching brienne riding around trying to get to Sansa for a season was super boring. I'm willing to suspend belief in distances to keep the story going.

I found Brienne starting at a window in Season 5 totally boring and a waste of her talents as an actress....But in the books her story can also get dull....Travelling all over Westeros asking 'have you seen a girl with long red hair etc'...this is where some editing may have profited the story.......

Also Roose was killed in the same way Robb was....A knife in the heart and he lost his wife and child....but I liked Fat Walda & it was a tragic way for her and her babe to go...But it does mean the end for Ramsay this season.
Loved Wun Wun.....Jaime & the High Sparrow face off, I thought was quite good, but the HS has a smoking gun.....Lancel Lannister & is Jaime aware that it was Cersei who empowered the High Sparrow so she could destroy Margaery?
Also anyone note that Dorne did not appear in the opening music?

Jon took three breaths then the screen went black. So we have no idea. I read an interesting theory about Jon and Bran's story line, I'll try to find it and post it.
I was a bit underwhelmed by Euron Crow's Eye. His book debut was really good. I wonder if they'll give him an eye patch and all. It was hard to tell in the rainy night.
Did anyone notice that the High Sparrow said he feared the Father, the Mother, and the Warrior which could be Jaime, Cersei, and Robert Strong but he didn't mention the Maid, the Crone, the Smith, or the Stranger?

https://weirwoodleviathan.wordpress.c...

In the episode the High Sparrow said he was afraid of the father, the mother, and the warrior but he didn't mention the other of the seven. What does he mean by that? Why those three specifically? Could it be because they are represented by Jaime, Cersei, and Robert Strong?

The Crone- Tyrion? The Crone is pictured as female but what if since he is deformed he could be considered the Crone.
The S..."
Sorry Jack, don't mean to quibble but Margery is not from Dorne. She is of the House Tyrell.

Arya; death and the unknown - the Stranger
Sansa; (book version, obviously) idealistic, virgin - the Maiden
Danaerys: mother of dragons, mhysa - the Mother
Tyrion: wise and family oriented- the Father
Jon: forging change at the wall - the Smith
Jamie: all about skill in battle - the Warrior
Cersei: seems to be past her child bearing years, but definitely lacks the wisdom required. Lady Olenna could also possibly fill this role but as she is not a POV character she seems less likely to be - the Crone

Maybe because he has more guilt over his sins to these gods? Hard to say what goes on in the mind of a fanatic; he should fear them all.
It's that time! We're in the final hours before Season 6 begins. And so, I've created a safe space for discussion.
