Ricky (spider-fan) | 330 comments @Sierra: Why the toe-stompage? What must I do to avoid getting my toes stomped?

message 202: by Julia (new)

Julia ...I like looking at spoilers. BUT I refrained myself.

message 203: by Unbroken Silence (new)

Unbroken Silence | 150 comments It was ridiculously good until the end. I don't think the BBC is good at ending shows - that's why eastenders has been going on for eons.

message 204: by [deleted user] (new)

Okay, something I like about my appearance:
I honestly really love my hair. Honestly I just like dark hair in general, but I love that my hair is about as dark as it can get naturally. It's wavy naturally, and it's super thick without being coarse or unruly. People have told me I have "conditioner commercial hair," and I take that as a compliment. idk, I just really like hair. I'm a hair person.

message 205: by Unbroken Silence (new)

Unbroken Silence | 150 comments @Sierra No my toes! I need them to dance and to kick people.

message 206: by Sierra (new)

Sierra (skippingstones4) *sigh* For the idea to accept ourselves that only three people acknowledged me for...

*laughs awkwardly and fades into the background*

message 207: by [deleted user] (new)

@Sierra: I still think it's a great idea. Self-positivity is very important. :)

message 208: by Julia (new)

Julia I ACKNOWLEDGED YOU!!!

I like my inner beauty more then my outer beauty.

message 209: by Unbroken Silence (new)

Unbroken Silence | 150 comments Erm. I don't love anything in particular about my appearance. I mean altogether I look nice enough but my individual features have nothing special about them.

message 210: by [deleted user] (new)

Sierra wrote: "*sigh* For the idea to accept ourselves that only three people acknowledged me for...

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!*Grabs Sierraberra and pulls her out of ze background*

EVERYONE LISTEN UP! For you NON-LISTENERS, our amazinderful Sierra-berra suggested....*dramatic pause*

That instead of complaining about our appearances, we ALL say something that we LIKE about OUR APPEARANCE.

KAPEESH? And if you don't, you get your toes stomped on.

message 211: by Julia (new)

Julia I NEED MY TOES!!!

I like my long legs!!! And my almost (view spoiler)

message 212: by Aderonke (new)

Aderonke (aderonkeakavinita) We got so off topic in this discussion.

I agree inner beauty is better than outer beauty.

I am scared of how the Heroes of Olympus series is going to end.

message 213: by Aderonke (new)

Aderonke (aderonkeakavinita) I like how my hair complements my facial figure and my glasses tie it all together for a beautiful finished product.

Me too Vinita, me too.

message 215: by Ricky (new)

Ricky (spider-fan) | 330 comments I like that I have a naturally slender frame and therefore would be wasting my time trying to achieve an "ideal" masculine form.

It's funny how so much of my features seem to work better on famous people than on me. I just don't have the right genes, I guess.

message 216: by Unbroken Silence (new)

Unbroken Silence | 150 comments Guys me no wanna toe stompy, but me no got anything to say.

message 217: by [deleted user] (new)

Inner beauty might be better than outer beauty (depends on the person, I suppose), but it's still important to acknowledge that you are a wonderfully created human being and you are absolutely fantastic and beautiful and positively lovely, no matter if you're underweight or overweight, or a midget or a giant, if you're blonde or brunette or ginger or if you've dyed your hair neon blue, if your eyes are brown or blue or green or hazel or glasz or gray or whatever other eye colors there are, no matter what your race is, you are beautiful and wonderful and sugar and spice and everything nice and no one can take that away from you - not even yourself.

message 218: by Julia (new)

Julia Psh, Ricky, don't lie to yourself. Are you transitioning between body types and seem fat? No. Do I? YES!

message 219: by Julia (new)

Julia BUT I will finish growing and filling out and all of that blah blah blah-ness.

message 220: by Unbroken Silence (last edited May 05, 2014 04:05PM) (new)

Unbroken Silence | 150 comments It bugs me the way girls are expected to be curvy hourglasses and guys are supposed to be muscular.

message 221: by [deleted user] (new)

Well really, there's no way to win with any body type if you go by society's standards...

message 222: by Aderonke (new)

Aderonke (aderonkeakavinita) That was deep and amazing and my heart was inspired. -claps really loudly in response to Bree's speech-

Same 3:

message 225: by Julia (new)

Julia Sugar and spice and everything nice... I LOVE it Bree!!!

Um, in society, they do NOT have hourglass figures. Those are a bit bigger, and actually have a BODY. No, society is into tiny, figure-less girls. The one who's ribs show enough that on a dog or cat we'd call it animal abuse.

An hourglass figure is a person who is... Sort of voluptuous?

message 226: by [deleted user] (last edited May 05, 2014 04:11PM) (new)

@Grumpy & Unbroken Silence: Nothing? Not the way your feet look in sandals or the way hoop earrings look fabulous on you or the way your hair is perfectly braid-able or the length of your fingers or your height or the way your chin points or the way skirts look on your legs or anything? Nothing? I'm sure there's something.

message 227: by Ricky (new)

Ricky (spider-fan) | 330 comments @Jules: ?

message 228: by Julia (new)

Julia What are you confused on Ricky? I'm not being that confusing, I thought... O.o

The media and modeling industries are into women who look like they've just been rescued from some kind of desert island and need a good meal. Society appears to find a woman's figure nothing more than a sexual object and thus all kinds of ridiculous misogynistic rubbish will be labelled to you if you happen to have larger curves than most.

message 230: by Ricky (new)

Ricky (spider-fan) | 330 comments Your part about "don't lie to yourself." I don't understand what you're trying to say, Jules...

message 231: by Aderonke (new)

Aderonke (aderonkeakavinita) I think that "Society" had expectations for people to fulfill and it seemed if you didn't meet the requirements, you were an outcast. Now that we are in 2014, I think those have changed for the better so no girl has to think "I have to be slim to be popular." and no boy thinks " I have to be bulk to fit in." If we haven't changed from this stereotypical way, it is depressing and I think that our society should differ this way of thinking.

message 232: by Julia (new)

Julia Ricky, PM me if you are confused. I don't know exactly what you mean either.

I LIKE JENNIFER LAWRENCE PARTIALLY BECAUSE SHE IS HAPPY THE WAY SHE IS AND LOVES FOOD LIKE ME.

My feet tan in stripes if I wear sandals, I haven't got my ears pierced, my hair falls out of braids, my hands are too small, my chin tilts to the left and I avoid skirts.

message 234: by Julia (new)

Julia Seriously though, how do you live without FOOD??? I can hardly go, like, four hours without food. But days and weeks and such??? NEVER.

message 235: by [deleted user] (new)

The problem isn't getting any better, really... but more people are acknowledging that it's bad, and that there needs to be a change, so that's good.

After all, all bodies are beautiful and deserve to be treated as such. :)

message 236: by Ricky (new)

Ricky (spider-fan) | 330 comments Skinny girls...or, as my dad would say, "She needs a sandwich." He says that so often about Gabrielle Anwar.

message 237: by Julia (new)

Julia DAT IS WHY YOU FEED THEM!!! XD I could never be anorexic. I love food. It's one of my best friends. Until I eat it, that is...

message 238: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm 14 and 89 llbs, and people are always telling me to "eat a sandwich." XDD DUDE I love food, I just have a super fast metabolism.

message 239: by Sierra (new)

Sierra (skippingstones4) PLEASE BEAR WITH ME AS I CATCH UP ON COMMENTS! I got distracted by Dr. Phil and tater tots XD

All of your features work on you if you accept them and make them your own.

Unbroken Silence wrote: "Guys me no wanna toe stompy, but me no got anything to say."

I'm sure you're super pretty :)

❄ ℬʀᴇᴇ ❄ wrote: "Inner beauty might be better than outer beauty (depends on the person, I suppose), but it's still important to acknowledge that you are a wonderfully created human being and you are absolutely fant..."

*cries at the beauty there* I might just print this out and hang it up on my wall. That's not creepy, right? XD

Unbroken Silence wrote: "It bugs me the way girls are expected to be curvy hourglasses and guys are supposed to be muscular."

I know, the media has really screwed things up.

❄ ℬʀᴇᴇ ❄ wrote: "Well really, there's no way to win with any body type if you go by society's standards..."

Exactly.

ģɾυṃρÿ wrote: "Unbroken Silence wrote: "Guys me no wanna toe stompy, but me no got anything to say."

Same 3:"

*sigh* You're so pretty Meow. I love your skin tone and your face shape.

message 240: by [deleted user] (new)

@Sierra: Tater tots are always first. Tater tots are great. And it's probably not as creepy as the collage my sister made for me for my birthday (pictures of all the actors/actresses I like... mainly Dylan O'Brien and Darren Criss and Karen Gillan).

message 241: by Aderonke (new)

Aderonke (aderonkeakavinita) There is now way I can be anorexic because I eat like a truck-load of food a day. When anorexic people go to the hospital, they have to get tube fed. I just don't get why someone would starve themself when they have all this food while someone else somewhere wish they had food.

message 242: by [deleted user] (new)

Dylan O'Brien. <33 Also known as DA DUDE WHO BE PLAYIN TOMMY IN DA MAZE RUNNA.

message 243: by [deleted user] (new)

I love Dylan O'Brien. So much love. Mostly because of Stiles. But also just because.

And honestly, he's probably the only reason I'll see The Maze Runner.

Now I'm hungry... but I'm trying to snack less... I'm also thirsty... Arnold Palmer it is, then :3

message 248: by Aderonke (new)

Aderonke (aderonkeakavinita) I LOVE tater tots. If you don't, you don't love life. Well I have to go eat and do other stuff. Nice getting totally off topic it is ridiculous with all of you. Bye!

message 249: by [deleted user] (new)

@Vinita: Have fun eating!

message 250: by Julia (new)

Julia FOOD.

I should go practice my clarinet now... Bye bye!!!
