It is magnificently written. Sri Lankan girl from traditional background is taken to the US in her teens but is still haunted by her family's demons right into adulthood. Not about war - about family.

I'm a little slow off the mark this mark, but I finally finished my first book - The Patterson Girls by Rachael Johns, and I absolutely loved. I now understand the love surrounding this book... Such a great book :)

I also loved this...a personal favourite...and recently borrowed the audio version from the library to see if they did it justice, it is beautifully narrated by Ulli Birve and well worth listening to.

I just finished Salt Creek by Lucy Treloar, and absolutely loved it. I really took my time and im glad i took the time to absorb as much as possible, the book definitely deserves it. Truly a 5 star read (IMO) :)
