Sabrina Flynn | 16 comments Hi there, can a librarian please change my series name from Ravenwood Detective Agency Mystery to Ravenwood Mysteries?

Here are books: From the Ashes and A Bitter Draught

Thank you. I went in and changed the titles for each edition, but it doesn't seem to effect series name.

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments Where a book is originally part of a series that has a name change, GR policy is to keep the original series name in the title field of those editions, any new editions published with a new series name has that name in the title field.

Should I change it back, Paula? Sorry, I wasn't aware of the policy. I thought that having two different series name might be more confusing.

Rafael da Silva (morfindel) | 1878 comments I added the original series name in the title field (only seen in the "all editions").

Sabrina Flynn | 16 comments Ah ok. That hurts my OCD. :(

Are the commas supposed to be there? IE: Ravenwood Detective Agency Mystery, #1? I think I might have had an 'A' at the beginning of original series title. Hopefully it's in the change log.

Rafael da Silva (morfindel) | 1878 comments You are right. I removed the commas.

Both with and without the comma is acceptable.

Peony (peony79) | 36 comments I am not actually asking anyone to change a name for a series, but there seems to be inconsistency with J. G. Farrells Empire Trilogy. The first book in the series (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...) is marked first in the series in its book profile. BUT when you are browsing the writers works (click the authors name on the link I provided) and the book is second in the series and the book Troubles is marked first of the series in the list..but when you click to the profile of Troubles it says second in the series. This mix up is also visible, if you browse the "other editions" list of these books.

As far as I understand and few people who have read The Siege of Krishnapur have the notion that this book is the first in the trilogy.

According to wikipedia, Troubles is first. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._G._F...
