Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2445 comments I find it hilarious that I now have two shaede assassin themed series going! I read Shadow Kin (The Half-Light City, #1) by M.J. Scott and now I've started up this one! (They both debuted the same year too! With Shadow Kin coming out a few months earlier.)

I put this one off because the series got canceled, but the author has gone self pub for the last two so far.

I'm not blown away and I find the leads stupidity in not seeking information, or noticing other paranormal creatures, as a bad trope.

But it's very addicting. I'll probably finish book one soon.

Anyone else read them?

I know what you mean, it was obvious. There are more twists like that ahead for you.
