I completely agree with you. Some classics should not be classics!

I tried so hard to read that book, but it was so confusing that I literally started to pull my hair out. I gave that book away soooo fast!

Good to know as I was on the fence after seeing some reviews. Will skip it.
Loathed The Night Circus... my family and I ended up playing football with it when I'd finished it. Worst thing I've ever read probably.

I'm so surprised I made it through that book!!! I was reading it at my cottage and had the constant urge to throw it in the lake.

I can't stand Steinbeck -- we read Of Mice and Men, the Pearl, and Grapes of Wrath... when I was in college the theatre put on the play version of Grapes and I liked that much better, I just despise the way Steinbeck writes.

Also, the blurb teased a Jack the Ripper story. Totally didn't deliver.

Worst book I've read in a while. I hated almost all the characters, I thought the main character was the stupidest guy ever. I don't even know how to explain how stupid it was.
And the main character kept talking about how horrible the book was which made it so hard to continue reading.

Look who's back by Timur Vermes and the alphabet house by Jussi Adler-Olsen weren't that good either. I didn't even finished them. I wish I wouldn't have read them at all!

I tried s..."
I actually still have the book. except it's in a bag on the floor waiting to be given to a used bookstore.
