Movie Casting

What do you think the chances are that they can pull this movie production off. If I were a betting man I believe they will cast a very poor fitchner and realize it too late. The production team will not forecast or understand the importance of the characters later in the series.

Personally, I think this series would play much better on TV (like on HBO with Game of Thrones or Netflix with House of Cards) with multiple episodes so you can really develop the characters. There is no way to jam Red Rising into a 2 hour movie and have it be any good.
And I agree that it is very likely that someone will cast Fitchner as a throwaway part, not realizing his importance later.

Yeah, I think this would be way better if they got it on Netflix, hbo, starz, etc..

Some place where they could do it right and not rush it, and a place where they could not censor it down into something Red Rising obviously wasn't.
