Yes. I'm having that problem with 'Salem's Lot. I had to start it all over again.

That is a good call. This series is a challenge for me because I know that most of my favorite characters die. (Thanks to my friends for spoiling it) But I wanted to see what the hype was about and why everyone was liking it. So far I like the book. I've seen bits and pieces of the T.V. show and I can already tell I don't like it.

Dawnie Good to hear that i am not alone with that reading problem!
Even if it's sad that it happens especially if the book is one we want to finish!

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments I know! That's kind of how I am right now with my Wheel of Time book. I was really enjoying it, but when I started getting these horrible headaches it's been hard for me to read it.

Ugh. I have this problem all the time. It's why my currently reading shelf has so many books on it and i have a shelf, started but not currently reading.

A bigger problem i have is when there is a book in a series I LOVE and I am SO excited to read the sequel, then when I get my hands on it, for some reason I am just reluctant to start the sequel and get back into that world or something.

message 157: by Kylara (new)

Kylara Jensen | 437 comments I think I figured out a book for each category. Now it just comes down to how much I can actually get read this month

message 158: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Haha, yep. That's a lot of books.

I have that with new releases that I buy! Not necessary series but just overall new releases. Especially those I anticipated! Then I just can not pick those up!
And it drives me nuts! And the more I get frustrated about not having read them yet and not feeling like picking them up, the more time passes until I actually finally start them!

Very frustrating!

I'd Buddy Read with you on Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children if you give me a few days for me to get my copy back from the person I loaned it to...

message 172: by Jackie (new)

How about you?

message 173: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Pretty well, actually. Not sure I'll make it to everything planned, but I'm making good progress with my Wheel of Time book, so I'm pretty satisfied. Hoping to start Red Rising tomorrow.

message 174: by Kaylin (new)

Kaylin (The Re-Read Queen) (kaylin_14) My readings been going pretty well! Today was library day and I'm afraid I may have overdone it. :P

One of the only perks of being sick is lots of time to read.

message 175: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments I always overdo it at the library, Kaylin! What did you pick up?Hope you get better soon. Being sick is no fun.

Kylara Jensen | 437 comments Some people have expressed interest in it, but let's make it official. Who wants to read Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children, #1) by Ransom Riggs this month?

It's my unnerving cover read for the movie challenge.

Dawnie Would The Unexpected Everything could for the tv news / show section? Since the books tarts out with the main girl and her father having a tv news interview thing and she grew up with a lot of media attention because of her fathers political position? Or is that not enough to count for that section?

message 182: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Dawnie, we'll let you count that.
