I am an elementary-school speech-language pathologist and I am having some trouble! I can find some non-fiction books, but I have interpreted the prompt to mean "novel" and that's a harder nut to crack. I would love to find a book about a speech-language pathologist (any kind), but my background is in linguistics, particularly phonetics, so I would take a book about a linguist, a phonetician, or even an interpreter, though I'm trying to avoid translator, since that's getting pretty far away from my job. Anyone have any suggestions?

it is written by a SLP and is about an SLP. I have a copy I purchased from Amazon but have not read it yet, waiting until the summer. I bought this prior to the challenge being announced and could not believe my good luck... I mean not many books with a SLP protagonist. Can't promise it is good but it should fit the bill!Best of luck!
Oh great suggestions. I am an SLP-A and am having difficulty finding books for this category as well. I will check these two out. Thanks!
