Claire | 9 comments I am an elementary-school speech-language pathologist and I am having some trouble! I can find some non-fiction books, but I have interpreted the prompt to mean "novel" and that's a harder nut to crack. I would love to find a book about a speech-language pathologist (any kind), but my background is in linguistics, particularly phonetics, so I would take a book about a linguist, a phonetician, or even an interpreter, though I'm trying to avoid translator, since that's getting pretty far away from my job. Anyone have any suggestions?

Rebecca (booknester) Speaking in Tungs by Karla M. Jay it is written by a SLP and is about an SLP. I have a copy I purchased from Amazon but have not read it yet, waiting until the summer. I bought this prior to the challenge being announced and could not believe my good luck... I mean not many books with a SLP protagonist. Can't promise it is good but it should fit the bill!

Best of luck!
