While we have one book we all read at the same time, there are thousands of great fantasy and Science Fiction books written by and about women.
So what are you reading or have read recently by or about women?

I just finished the fourth book in Marie Brennan's A Memoir by Lady Trent series. The first in the series is A Natural History of Dragons. Set in a fictional world, clearly based off Victorian England, Isabella is a badass who just has a thirst for knowledge and seeing the world. She gets herself into all types of situations and can totally handle it, even if it includes hang-gliding.

This morning I started Catherynne M. Valente's The Girl Who Soared Over Fairyland and Cut the Moon in Two. This is the third in the series about a girl named September who finds herself visiting Fairyland. If you like Alice in Wonderland you'll love this book.

So, what books are you reading about or written by females?

I'm currently reading The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater and it's already ripping my heart out.
