The Titan’s Curse question

honestly i think it was random, maybe there was thought put into it, not saying this guy is a terrible writer, he is a super great writer, but i think since artemis is a huntress, maybe that's why she was lured and trapped?

or maybe there is a super elaborate way they are all connected

I think Rick decided to have it be Artemis because he wanted to tie the hunters somehow into the story. Maybe when he was writing the book he decided he wanted Thalia to become a huntress and went back to piece together how it would happen and before you know it Nico and Bianca are added to the story with Bianca becoming a maiden herself. I'm just making a wild guess here but I don't think there is any big reason why Kronos picked Artemis.

This is not related to the topic, but I would like to say that its been a long time since I completed the series and at first I had to think for a couple of mins to actually remember who was Artemis! (Now I do remember) I JUST LOVE PERCY JACKSON!
Now I just finished reading Divergent series so I recommend that book to u all coz that's pretty well written too! Do read it. U'll like it.

has anyone realized that when juno/hera was kidnapped the second time they said the same thing. like who cares if the annoying queen of gods disappears and the goddess of hunting stuff well I think they chose artemis is because she just couldn't stand any young maiden suffering. I like this idea because it fits with the plot.

Maybe Kronos thought that Artemis would be the most desperate to relieve Annabeth,as she is the guardian of young maidens.More importantly,as Zoe said,Artemis,among all the other Olympians, had been the most vocal on the subject of defeating Kronos's minions.If she was not present in the Olympian Council,the gods would decide nothing and they would lose a year of war preparations.So,that's why I think Kronos chose Artemis.
