Congrats Tara, how exciting!I have finished one book this week, If You Could Be Mine for my 'book about a different culture, religion or sexual orientation' prompt.
This week, I finally got around to The Art of Memoir (a book about books), which I had been putting on hold for a while. There were some parts that were a bit of a bore, but others were super helpful. You can definitely tell the author is a professor (which can be both good and bad, as the book read like a textbook at certain points). But, overall, a good read.So that brings me to 22/52. Pretty good!
That's amazing Tara, congratulations!I'm still making my way through Under the Dome I've got about 190 pages to go, although my progress has slowed as I'm back at work and don't have as much time to read. But hopefully, I'll be finished by next weeks update :)
Thanks ladies :) great progress on under the dome! I've been following your progress and can't wait to see your review. I was thinking of it for my book by an author I should have read by now but I think I might put it on my next year list since it's a huge undertaking :)

Congratulations Tara :) I have spent the last couple weeks indulging in my guilty pleasure books, celebrity memoirs and Sophie Kinsella. I read I Must Say: My Life as a Humble Comedy Legend, I Don't Know What You Know Me From: Confessions of a Co-Star, and Twenties Girl. I did complete a book for one of my prompts though, The Pearl That Broke Its Shell which was for a book about a culture different that my own. I really enjoyed that book and would recommend it. I'm currently reading The Pillars of the Earth and it's a long one. According to my Kobo it's over 1000 pages but I think it's only* 900 pages in regular book format. I have a feeling this is going to take me the next month to read. I'm enjoying it so far, about 100 pages in. It is historical fiction but the writing isn't.
Happy reading everyone!
