Elves that live in different elemental realms. With a dark elf that falls in love with a water elf.

I read this book a long time ago but can't really remember the name and all the details. It's about elves and they have different elemnts like there's fire elves, wind, and water. And there's one dark (i think his element is stone or metal) elf king. He ends up faling in love with a water elf, that i think is the princess. And I think they elves were asking the dark elf for help or something. That's all i can really remember. It was a fantasy ya book i believe.

It was maybe a couple years ago. All I can remember is that there was a dark elf and he was the last of his kind and there was a water or wind elf princess and they ended up falling in love
