Amazon Prime - worth it for readers?

I LOVE to shop! And, I do Stitch Fix. My problem with grocery shopping is that I just never feel like I have time for it, but when I do and I am not in a rush, then I totally do not mind it.

Safe browsing. Put that in any context you wish.

They only ship in the US, but there are other clothing subscription services out there. Perhaps you can find one that ships to Australia.

Stitch Fix is so much fun!

Agreed! I don't much like shopping, either. I do get most of my groceries delivered, organic/local, etc. via SPUD (available in Calgary, Vancouver and some places in California, I believe). But then, I also don't have a car, so delivery is very convenient!

But I love Amazon, have Prime and use it a lot. For other Prime members, I really liked both Mozart in the Jungle and Love, both Amazon-made TV shows.

I started my trial period earlier this week and expect my first package today. I'm getting 60 pounds of organic acidifier/fertilizer. It was only offered to Prime members (with 3-4 day delivery) and not available in the 30 lb bags locally. I ordered a second item and opted out of the second day delivery so have my first $1 credit towards an ebook. So far not bad. Amazon tells me I can get 3 free audio books as a Prime member
if I start a trial subscription to Audible so am trying to figure out which 3 books I want to listen to that I can't get at the library.

You should ask for suggestions here as many people read audio.
We also find obscure grocery items and I buy seeds from Amazon as well.
We bought our tv from them and got a great deal.

I bought my TV from Amazon, also got a great deal. It was delivered via UPS and after I got it all set up and turned it on there was obviously something wrong, it looked like an internal crack. Called Amazon discussed everything with customer service and they immediately sent out a new one and had the broken one picked up at the same time. No questions asked. Great customer service always.

Yes, we have found them to have great customer service. My hubby bought some jeans which didn't fit and when he called customer service to return them, they told him not to bother that they would just credit our account and they did.

Bummer. Are those the same books that are part of the Kindle Unlimited program? I' m not interested in most of those. They are giving me 3 months to spend the first dollar.
I have always been very pleased with the customer service Amazon provides. I buy hubby's work pants from Amazon also. I got tired of spending several hours driving all around town and unable to find them in his size. We've also bought a TV from Amazon.

I didn't have much luck with the search but was amused by the high to low - that started at over 6 grand. So much for my dollar off. I thought I'd seen the phrase Amazon Digital Services before so looked at my book wish list and found 4 titles out of the 24 books on the list. Books on my wish list are digital titles I can't get from the library so that's perfect.

Me too, and I definitely don't think of that as shopping! I feel like that is socializing. I love reading, lists, articles, the internet . . .all things you can't do while actually physically shopping . . .so yes for Goodreads!!
