C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments I'm still reading the fifth Wheel of Time. Only just over 100 pages left, so I'm hoping to finish it by Thursday. Then I'll take the 6th one on my trip. :)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Nice, I'm going to try and start and finish The Dragon Hunter and the Mage. The last time I started I only got about five pages in before I got really busy.

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Thanks.:) What did you end up doing about The Raven King?

message 105: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments I canceled my order and got it on kindle. I read it the other day. Still annoys me.

Luke (Lord of the Llamas) (llamalettore) | 68 comments Not the same, but I had a really frustrating situation with the library the other day.

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments What happened?

message 109: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments I've had some frustrating library experiences as well.

message 110: by Luke (new)

Luke (Lord of the Llamas) (llamalettore) | 68 comments I put Clockwork Prince on hold, as I currently am borrowing Clockwork Angel. There were 2 copies at the branch closest to mine. So I put it on hold. You'd think it'd be there by the next day. But, next day I go there. It isn't there. I checked my account and saw they had decided to ship it from a partner branch three hours away, and it hadn't even left yet. I just canceled the hold.

message 111: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments I hate it when that happens! I've had similar things happen with my libraries. It's annoying. :(

message 112: by Luke (new)

Luke (Lord of the Llamas) (llamalettore) | 68 comments Like, the pickup location is 20 minutes away, it should be a simple delivery.

message 113: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments I know! I had one on hold for the library closest to my house once and they would never get it. Then I cancelled that one and put it on hold at the library by where I work. It was there the same day.

Kylara Jensen | 437 comments I'm currently reading The Forbidden Wish by Jessica Khoury which I am enjoying and Star Wars The Force Awakens by Alan Dean Foster which is kind of disappointing.

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments I've had a lot of anxiety issues and headaches, so I haven't been able to finish the Wheel of Time book I'm on. Looks like I'll finish it when I get back in town and then start the next one. Not entirely sure what I'll take for the flight.

message 116: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments I'm currently reading The Lovely Bones.

message 117: by Mary (new)

Mary Mortimer (memortimer) OK so I just started The Guardian by Nicholas Sparks. I wasn't exactly thrilled with this late night choice seeing as I despise anything with a twinge of romance. However, the first chapter has me enthralled. So here's to dipping my feet in a new and usually despised genre.

message 118: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Hope you like it and it isn't too bad.

I have the whole series and have not read past the 5th or 6th book. I love them but I really have to space them out to keep from being bogged down by them.

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments I finished The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold yesterday and started Those Girls by Lauren Saft , which looks like it will be a quick read so I'm hoping to finish in the morning.

Kylara Jensen | 437 comments I tend to read a lot of books at once. I need to be better at finishing books once I start them.

Books I am currently reading that I have started in the past two weeks or so:
Sea Change by S.M. Wheeler started for an April Challenge. Beautiful, but weird. I keep meaning to go back to it, but other things sound better to read.
The Progeny (Descendants of the Blood Countess #1) by Tosca Lee Read on my kindle while waiting for an event to start. Over halfway through. Intriguing premise. I just don't like to read books from my kindle as much and library books have priority.
Star Wars The Force Awakens by Alan Dean Foster beginning is lame and I can't decide if I want to read book first or rewatch movie.
The Glittering Court (The Glittering Court, #1) by Richelle Mead started on friday. something about it is... boring? And just reading something else sounded better
The Queen's Poisoner (Kingfountain #1) by Jeff Wheeler so the actual premis is not what I thought the premise would be and things were starting to get tense and uncomfortable so I took a break.

Starting A Darker Shade of Magic (Shades of Magic, #1) by V.E. Schwab today, but I really need to finish some of these half started books.

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments @Kylara: lol. I'm the exact same! :D

A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1) by Sarah J. Maas Quite good. I'm taking it slow though so I'm only at 30%.

Japanese From Zero! 1 Proven Methods to Learn Japanese with integrated Workbook and Online Support by George Trombley I'm planning to take most of the month reading this one.

Skip Beat!, Vol. 04 by Yoshiki Nakamura - Skip Beat! Vol. 39 by Yoshiki Nakamura I'm also slowly reading this series.

Books I've kind of back-burnered:

Touch (Denazen, #1) by Jus Accardo After wanting to read it for so long it wasn't as good as I was hoping. :(

Playing with Fire (Tales of an Extraordinary Girl, #1) by Gena Showalter Sounds really good but is more on the 'Meh' side. :/

message 123: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Sorry your books aren't interesting.:(

Kylara: Glittering Court is a group book of the month, so if you discuss it on the thread, you can get extra points in the May challenge.

message 124: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments I'm luckily 48% done with my book.:) I can't wait to finish this one. It's not a badly written book, but it's just not for me.

I might just submit them for points this month. That's the really nice thing about the page count is that you can submit unfinished books for pages. ^-^

Hopefully your next book is a lot better then Jackie! :D

I'm not finished with my Wheel of Time book yet, so hopefully I'll get through that soon. I finished a book while I was on vacation and have a few new ones to read. :)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Finally finished The Fires of Heaven! Really enjoyed it. The end was exciting and didn't have much Egwene or Elayne, which I appreciated. Excited to move into book six.

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Started Lord of Chaos, the sixth Wheel of Time book today. About 100 pages in and enjoying it so far.

Still working on Out of the Easy and The Truth About Forever. Will be starting Red Rising soon and maybe reading some short stories as well.

Jamie (The Kansan Reader) (thekansanreader) Okay I was reading Even Angels Fall by F.L. Darbyshire and I can not get into it. The author is British and she uses Britain slang. A lot of it from my guessing and with that it is a little hard for me to read. I'm always having to stop and look something up.

I put that aside for right now and started on the July challenge today with Pigskin Rapture Four Days in the Life of Texas Football by MAC Engel . So far it's amazing.

It's always difficult when a book uses language/slang/pop culture references that you don't understand.

I've had some issues with the mythology and pop culture references for this series Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews but I've managed to push through them. :)

I knew this one was going to be a challenge but I'm just going to take it slow. With a busy weekend coming up due to the 4th of July I will probably pick this up again next Tuesday.

This one was a big one. Especially for a YA book. O.o

message 146: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Is Shadowspell part of a series?

message 147: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments It's a trilogy although it has two novellas as well. ^_^

message 148: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Cool.:)Are you trying to use it for the trilogy category?

message 149: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

As of right now no. But I might end up using it if I don't finish any of my other trilogies. I'm hoping to read at least about 3 trilogies this month. :)

message 150: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Hope you accomplish that.:)
