ABANDONED. childhood book that i loved - a picture of a whole in a tree and bunny sitting in that whole

ok, so i was born in 1985 (i know, im 30!) but anyways, I loved this book so much! i remember loving this book and asking mom to read it to me all the time. I know have a 4 year old daughter and i would like to share that same book with ther except i cant remember anything about it :( i am thinking the book was out in the 80's and then i can just remember a picture of a whole in a tree and bunny sitting in that whole. any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated! TYIA :)
PS. it is NOT the velveteen rabbit either, thats what have suggested to me and i have loked and that is not the book

no... thats not it :( but i do have that book for my daughter and she loves it :)

One of my youngest son's favorites when he was little was "I Am a Bunny" by Ole Risom, Richard Scarry (Illustrator). He is 27 now. I read that book to him so many times, it's ridiculous. You can look up the images on google. It shows the bunny standing next to a tree with a hole, and another with him curled up asleep in the hole.
