Najaf Naqvi (najafnaqvi) | 67 comments so i just finished Degrees of Freedom and i was wondering if there were any other books that document sociopolitical and economic turmoil after the invention of a groundbreaking technology?

Nexus

I haven't read the other books mentioned here but Stephenson's The Diamond Age: or, A Young Lady's Illustrated Primer would probably fit this sub-genre.

Eliot Baker | 15 comments A better concept than it was a book due to Robin Cook's writing style, Cell is still pretty worth reading. I work in this industry, and he's done his homework on the future of digital health and mHealth.
One of my favorite sci-fi books of all time, and written by the great Greg Bear, is Blood Music
