I'm so happy you loved The Forgetting and The Knowing! This duology needs so much more love!

And we are meeting Scott Kelly next weekend! Still need to pick up his book, will probably do it at the festival :)

The Forgetting and The Knowing really were great... I'm glad I read them.

I'm jealous of you getting to meet Scott Kelly! I'd love to meet him. He combines my love of books and my love of science and space related stuff (which I'm aware doesn't sound at all scientific) so it would be totally awesome to meet him. Of course, I'd probably be fangirling so badly I wouldn't be able to say much beyond, "I can't believe I'm getting to meet you!" But still...

Victoria, I know I will be tongue tied when meeting Scott next weekend!! I met Jim Lovell years ago right as Tom Hanks was making Apollo 13 and playing him. I’m still freaked out that I met him!! I’m actually bringing the book Lovell wrote with Jeffrey Kluger to have signed by Kluger at the festival as well! I bought his Apollo 8 book! I’m wearing my NASA shirt that day!!! I have loved NASA and our space program for 4 decades!!!

Oda, living in Phoenix has such great perks!! I have the Tucson book festival in March each year and then Phoenix ComiCon every May/June! Sooooo many other authors will be at ComiCon this year so I’ve been spending so much on books! I’ll need another bookshelf very soon!

I’m so lucky to have met such amazing friends through this group! This week, Jenny, Nancy, and Jen from this group are all flying in for the book festival! Talk about an amazing girl’s trip!!

I've read these two in a row two weeks ago, they're gonna be some of my favourites ! They remind me of the first "grown-up" sci-fi book I read Le Dieu de lumière My father lent me this book when I was around 12 and done with all the norby series (love them so much !!) and I was totally stricken by the end at that time.
The Forgetting is pretty rich with surprises, and I liked the final answer to all the questions about this city. The knowing is great too, but not in that mysterious way, it is more suspense than huge discoveries.

I finished Alex and Eliza (Alex & Eliza, #1) by Melissa de la Cruz 4 stars, it was a fun fictional read about a historical couple

Finished The Magicians (The Magicians #1) by Lev Grossman 3 stars I wish I could have liked this one more, but its just wasn't my thing sadly. The first half was pretty good, but it went downhill in the 2nd half.

Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng 4.5 stars, loved this, it was so good! So happy I'm meeting the author this weekend :)

Next I'm reading Wicked Lovely (Wicked Lovely, #1) by Melissa Marr and Labyrinth Lost (Brooklyn Brujas, #1) by Zoraida Córdova

And Paradox Bound by Peter Clines on audio. Ray Porter is narrating so had to listen to this one. He's a favorite!!

Catherine Bruno | 771 comments Haven’t been keeping up. So I finished The Hazelwood, which I loved and found to be weird and semi frightening. Also read and finished Warcross, which I also loved and can’t wait for book two. Currently reading Howl’s Moving Castle, The Cruel Prince (still, been busy), and occasionally Drums of Autumn.

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments I finished Eeny Meeny by M.J. Arlidge! This was a great thriller/Crime Fiction read and I loved it! What an ending! Also, this is part of a Helen Grace Detective series so I plan to read more MJ. Arlidge in the future!

I’m currently reading Children of Blood and Bone! I’m 35 pages in and so far I’m loving it!

I felt the same as The Hazel Wood. Ended up giving it 3.5 stars. Solid 4 star read until towards the end. Was not thrilled with that ending, and it got REALLY weird the last 100 pages or so. But overall, a fun read, very unique.

Emilie | 35 comments Hey everobody ! I've just finished Ready Player One (Ready Player One, #1) by Ernest Cline and it was excellent ! So much good memories about the movies and games I used to play as a child in the late 80s ! I can't wait for the movie to be released ! I hope it won't be a deception...
I'm starting Red Rising (Red Rising, #1) by Pierce Brown and the first few pages I've read seem a bit depressing after leaving the fun of Player one...

message 3577: by Catherine (new)

I adore Ready Player One!

I had trouble the first time I tried to read Red Rising, too. It was too depressing for me at that time. I put it down, eventually came back to it and loved it! So I'd suggest trying something else and coming back to it when you're more in the mood for that.

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 4472 comments I'm reading Game Of Thrones. Well, listening to it on audio. I wasn't sure if I should bother with it, because I found the TV series frustrating and confusing. I'm finding the book much better, and so much easier to follow what's going on.

Well, I'm no quitter, so I keep on reading. I've reached a point in the book when things might turn into action instead of sorrow, so there's hope ! (I'm just at 12%) The intrigue of the book has a grip on me, I want to know how the series end, so I suppose I'm up to reading all the three books ;)

Not sure what the UK's official release date is off the top of my head, but I almost never see things until they're on DVD, because I prefer to watch movies at home, so either way I'll be waiting a bit... Unfortunately.
