I finished Tithe in two days -- it's got its problems, but really seems to have held up fairly well in the ten years since I last read it. I just continue to bemoan the lack of creative faerie stories, because they all seem to revolve around the MC-becomes-a-fae plot.

I loved Tithe, Ashley, and I plan on continuing the series! I thank you for introducing it to us!! :)

Yes! My feelings exactly, Elora. I read Unwind when it first came out and it blew me away, so I was kind of nervous when Neal announced he was writing sequels to it ... the second book came out like five years after the first one! But I really loved how he used the sequels to expand on the world he had created, and to explore all the moral ambiguities of unwinding. I'm glad you enjoyed the whole series! :)

It was pretty fast reading, haha. :) I had also read it like ten years ago and was curious to see how I would feel about it––unfortunately for me, though, both times I didn't like it much. Ah well.
I agree, I'd like to see more creative faerie stories, since there's so much fascinating mythology! I'm actually working on my own book that involves faeries; it's sort of a historical fantasy involving the potato famine but also Irish mythology. And my main character doesn't turn into a faerie. :D
Ooh I've been meaning to read that book for ages, Lauren! Maybe I will finally get to it this summer. :P
Hi, everyone! *waves*
I haven't read hardly at all the last week, its been super busy with graduation!
Right now, still listening to
and its getting good!
Almost done with
and to be honest, I'm a bit bored with it. The first one was a lot better.
Also reading
which I'm loving, and rereading
which of course I'm loving!

I'm glad you're enjoying The Martian... I thought it was really good.

I have a bit of a road trip coming up this week, so I figure it should certainly last me! :)

I finished

Next ebook is

@Lauren - Nice! Haha yeah hopefully it will last you the whole trip––it's quite long. :D Where are you going? @Oda - Yay! Maybe we could buddy-read it?
@Victoria - Hope you enjoy The Dream Thieves; that's my favorite book in the series. :)

Woohoo! :D I might not get to it for a month or so, but I'll let you know when I'm thinking of reading it.
Finished The Impostor Queen. It was alright, it had it's moments where I enjoyed it, but then other times it was slow going. Moving on to TKONLG.

Yeah, I'm with you, Karen, that really made the book for me. I ended up really liking it and plan to read the sequel. It has a great hook and the writing is pretty darn good. So I'm hooked!

Had to set TKONLG aside for now. There is just something about the way it's written that bugs me. However, I will try and pick it back up in the summer time when I'm not super stressed with closing out the school semester. So, I picked up Across the Universe instead.

I remember being really confused when I first started it, but after reading about half of it I didn't really notice anymore because I got so wrapped up in the story. Hopefully you'll like it more when you pick it up again! :)

TKONLG does take some getting used to as Brigid indicated. I did not get into it until he meets Viola. I also did not fall in love with the series until book two.
Heidi (Yup. Still here.) wrote: "TKONLG does take some getting used to as Brigid indicated. I did not get into it until he meets Viola. I also did not fall in love with the series until book two."Yeah, same. The second book is when it REALLY starts picking up.
I just finished Girl Online On Tour. I definitely didn't like that one! :/ Everything was just too easy. I'm now moving on to You're Never Weird on the Internet by Felicia Day :D
Don't stop TKONLG! Trust us, once you get used to the way it's written, you'll love it. One of the most creative/best series ever IMO

The Secret History is pretty good. A little weird. It is bit slow at first though.
