Glad I found this forum post anyways, because somehow a random online app had gained access to my profile and tweeted a link to buy followers(who even does that???), so I was able to revoke access to the app and change my password. Never can be too careful. :)

Annoying, isn't it? I have another profile for my professional persona, and I don't use it much. A friend recently suggested I check in on it - and I found I'd become a site for finding Russian mail order brides! Random or what?

Oh. my. goodness. I would absolutely die! I can't imagine what my followers would think is going on in my brain... I use mine pretty regularly, so I wasn't sure what happened. Then I remembered a few days ago I clicked on a link that someone I followed tweeted that was supposed to link to their blog and instead linked to a site like the one I got spammed by so I'm guessing it automatically logged me into there system with my twitter(kind of like how when you link GR here with FB it auto logs you in here if you're already logged into FB). I think I'm okay now because I revoked the app's access and changed my password and AVG did a good scan of my laptop so all is safe. :D

Sounds like you've done all the right things - I've been caught by the 'click this link' thing before as well. So annoying!

cool! I do not check it a lot but that is going to change. I have already been doing better so you can even let me know here if there is a tweet I missed. I am going to do my best. I am glad this club went up. I got to post my blog and my twitter! What a way to get publicity and new friends!

I agree. Facebook I have worn myself out on. lol! I love that everyone can talk in one place with a hatchtag.
