And now I'm having trouble choosing. It can be anything, since it's my last and I've only used one non-YA thus far.

Two children's books that come to mind are

How about Pretty Little Liars?

How about

I just noticed, Christie, that one of the books I randomly grabbed was one that you read for the challenge:

I always love seeing how many people end up reading the same books when I do these challenges. I ended up picking that one up because I had a book with the word "days" in it on my to-read list and I was just trying to figure out another title to go with it. Ended up just looking up all of the YA titles with the word "days" that my library carried and that one was the only one that caught my fancy. I didn't find it to be all that great, but it wasn't bad and it got me to the next book in my chain. Hope you enjoy.

I haven't read this one yet, but pretty high on my "to-read" list is this: Denton Little's Deathdate
Just another possibility!

Post #26 is updated. 3/6 completed. Whew.

And just as I was about to start in on #4, I was cursed by my own dang rules! I was going to read a Non-YA, Pretty Deadly, Vol. 1: The Shrike (which I'm excited to read) but then I realized it's only 120 pages long. DRAT!
Luckily, I quickly discovered that there's a Francesca Lia Block book called Pretty Dead which can fill in that space and won't mess with my chain. :)

I've figured out my chain and read three of seven books so far: Living Dead Girl, Masque of the Red Death and When the Sea Is Rising Red.

Challenge Complete! I'm not going to loop it, but I'm going to try the Bonus round next.
Original post#47.

And I just finished my fourth - Pretty Dead - which I don't really recommend, but at least I'm making progress! :)

Finally finished #3

It was a great book, totally worth waiting for. I even liked it better than the first book in the trilogy.

I'm glad you liked this book too. I'd be interested to hear from you think of the third one. I really liked it but there were a few things that bugged me.

I'm thinking of doing a mini bonus round as I have checked out two books this month that have the word "lie" in the title and have at least one more I can possibly squeeze in. I know it probably won't count toward the challenge, but I thought it might be fun to do.

I probably won't get to it until next month, but I'll be sure and post when I do.

I say go for it, Christie! It's a bonus round, after all - so I'll count any progress made :)

AMAZINGLY GREAT JOB, Kelly!!! Congratulations on totally crushing this challenge! :)

Going to try to squeeze in one more (just in case that first one doesn't count)!

Sadly, I'll have to be a stickler about this one. Princess Academy is the series name of that one, but the actual title is Palace of Stone.

Not a problem. Just more motivation to squeeze in one more!

That's okay! Better luck on the next one (which should go up today). :)

Right? I've got another 100 pages to finish tonight (I feel confidant I can eek that out) but it'll simply get me to 6, not closing the loop as I'd planned. Better than nothing, though! :D
