This list is more of a resource than a reading suggestion.

Thanks for sharing Alia! I am going to change the title of the thread to Transgender Authors and Books, and people can be invited to add onto the list you've shared. Hope that's okay!

CluckingBell I'll just add a plug for the nonfiction Trans/Portraits: Voices from Transgender Communities. This is a pretty good 101 book (glossary, historical timeline, and all!) that shares lived experiences on a variety of subjects, from a variety of perspectives.

Raquel | 20 comments I haven't actually clicked the link so I don't know if this one is mentioned, but I just finished reading "the art of being normal" and let me tell you - it is amazing!

Aglaea | 987 comments I saw the other day that Beast
Beast by Brie Spangler (link)
by Brie Spangler will be published later this year.

It is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast and apparently involves a trans* person and cis boy with gender dysphoria. Or so I gather from reader comments. I had no idea you can experience dysphoria whilst being cis, but so writes a reader (the review currently on top).

Gnome Claire *Wishes she was as cool as Gnome Ann* Elliot Wake (formally known as Leah Reader) is a trans author- I don't know if any of his books have trans main characters (I've not read them yet) but I thought I'd mention him.
