My favorite characters in the book are Piggy and Simon, who is your favorite character in the book?

It's a long, long time since I read Lord of the Flies, but I remember how much it influenced my own writing. If you liked LOTF, you might also like Playpits Park. Just wondering... I wrote it. It is on Amazon with 5-star reviews. Amazon gives me a few pennies from every copy purchased (really! They make the money, not me). Just thought you might like it?

If you were stranded on the island with Ralph, Jack, Piggy, Roger, Simon, and the rest of the kids, which side would you be on? Jack's side? Or Ralph's side? I would choose Ralph's side because he is less annoying than Jack because I feel like Jack has been a showoff since the beginning of the book. But Ralph wants to work as a team and help each other out.

Piggy. I always fall for the smart ones - well he's not "smart" but definitely smarter than all the other boys. Also I can't say anything bad about Simon. Which is something outstanding as you actually can say something (really) bad about all of the other characters.I don't think the author gave us much characters to choose from though.
My favorite is Simon, by far. If I ever have a little boy, he'll be named Simon after this character.

My favorite character is definitely Simon! I was rooting for him to survive the most out of all the characters because I thought he was truly a genuine and kind kid.
Piggy and Simon. Piggy because he's always the target for getting teased/bullied, and I tend to be more drawn to those kinds of characters (also the kind of person that I'd befriend). Simon because he's smart and kind and we kinda have some similarities.

Simon. I don't understand him. He is complex character but doesn't make you feel that he twisted.

His actions might not have contributed any harm, but does he also crave for power?
Simon! He's the wisest and represents childhood innocence.
