Name: Nicola Age: 8
Appearance: Just look up Nicola from Jewelpet Tinkle
Nicola has wavy golden brown hair and purple eyes; his hair is slightly puffy and curls up at the end. He is quite short, at 4'6", and also quite light, at 70 pounds. He usually wears a white collared shirt with either a red or blue checkered vest and grey shorts. He wears white knee-high socks with brown shoes.
Personality: He is a smart-aleck that doesn't like making mistakes. Everyone normally considers him an annoying and arrogant kid, as he sometimes abrasively (and unintentionally) can make someone cry with his words. He is musically gifted and can play the piano quite well, and he has a beautiful voice. He normally doesn't shake when you insult him, in fact, he will probably deflect it with a snarky reply, but when he does get torn down, it takes him some time to come back up. He has a lot of fear, sadness and anxiety inside him, and he just needs an output. Luckily, his piano hands are always ready to help him let loose of his emotions.
Animal: Atlantic Canary (Serinus canaria)
Traits: When nervous, he can twitter, and sometimes when he wants to squeal, he twitters instead. He has a pair of wings, which are about 100 cm (39.7 inches) wingspan, and the most he can do with them is flutter up 50 cm off the ground, which will decrease about 0.2 cm every year he grows.
History: His family specialized in trade and were quite a name when it came to selling and trading. Almus Hope, a sneaky trader as well as a Cursed Alligator (with only the long tail and sharp teeth, his tail was normally hidden in one of his pant legs) was on his way to create a worthy and good trade with a business partner, a noble tradesman. Little did he know, he was about to be captured by the nobleman and sent to his death. Charlotte Frost, who was one of the nobleman's servants had heard all about the trap and felt sorry for him, as she was also a Cursed Yellow Canary. She was scared but ended up warning him anyways, and they ran off together, getting married. They had Nicola, but when he was born, he used to have quite yellow-ish, green-ish and white-ish patches of skin in some places, and his parents would have him wear a collared white shirt with long sleeves to cover up the patches in case of snatchers. One night, the snatchers came to collect Almus for assassination, and imagine their surprise when they get young Nicola sent to the Palace of the Cursed as well. Charlotte was also to be captured, but one of the Snatchers used to have affiliations with Charlotte, and let her go, now she survives in the wild alone. When Nicola first arrived, he thought it was an elite academy, but eventually, he learned the truth and tried to avoid that topic.

Appearance:
Spiky dark brown hair and deep green eyes, with black-striped orange ears and tail. Has retractable claws.
Personality: Eltai generally likes to be alone. He's not shy and awkward like Gareth, or attentive and insightful like Felix, he just prefers being alone. He won't often initiate conversation, but he won't ignore someone who wants to talk to him. It's not likes he hates people, and he does have one or two friends- but in general, if he has to chose between being alone or hanging out with other people, he'd rather be alone. He likes being outside, and can usually be found napping/daydreaming/reading in the grass or in a tree. Eltai is someone who is really in touch with his inner self and doesn't ever try to deny his feelings or lie to himself.
Species: Tiger (Panthera tigris)
History: Eltai grew up in one of the small island nations outside of Aiden. He never knew exactly who his parents were- if they were dead, had abandoned him, or people he actually knew but were too ashamed to claim him- but he was raised by his entire small village as a whole. He grew up happy and healthy, and never really felt like he was missing anything. He knew that his kind were feared on the mainland, so he never left his village. But when a rumor got out that his village was sheltering a Cursed, he left to protect them. He lasted about three weeks before getting caught, and he was brought to the Palace about a year ago. Most people don't even know he exists, because he doesn't eat with them or hang out in crowded areas.
Other: Back in his village, there was a girl he loved. But when she told him of her feelings for him, he rejected her and told her that he didn't feel the same. He knew he was going to leave, and he didn't want the her to wait after him or be interrogated by the Snatchers. He hopes that she was able to find happiness without him, which she did- he doesn't know that about six or seven months after he left, she fell in love and married someone else. (But if he did, he'd honestly be happy for her. That's just the kind of unselfish and loving guy he is.)

Hey LJF!! I'm really sorry but no charrie that was born outside the Palace of the Cursed can have a name beginning with A. I'm sorry! This was actually one of my original rules but I forgot about it and only just remembered. Oops! Perhaps you can just change the A to an E. Eltai sounds very similar to the original name etc. Sorry about this!

And as for the islands, they actually probably would follow that rule. Aiden is there main source of trade and people from Aiden would get really confused if they had A names etc. At the beginning the islands wouldn't have but now they probably do it because they are sick of all the confusion and arguments etc. Or, those that are given traditional A names have to use another one (e.g. their middle name) when talking to those from Aiden.

Appearance:
Ora has a long brown braid, mischievous red eyes, and a green dragon tattoo wrapped around her upper right arm streching halfway across her chest in the front, and going down to the middle of her back. She tends to wear clothes with a lot of fabric and yet are surprisingly easy to move in, as well as being a touch revealing.
Personality: Ora is rather mischevious and flirty. Her flirtations and forwardness often intimidate shy and nervous guys. She knows, of course, that's why she does it.
But despite her flirtatious nature, Ora is neither brainless nor ditzy. She is fiercely loyal and protective, and incredibly determined. She is protective of the innocent and the defenseless, and when those she cares about are threatened, she will hunt the offender until the ends of Keras.
Ora believes that everyone should be able to protect themselves, so she teaches self-defense classes geared towards women, children, and others with weaker strength.
Animal: Komodo dragon (Varanus komodoensis)
History: Ora isn't in the Palace because she's Cursed. Well, she is Cursed, but that's not why she's here.
Where Ora was born and the first few years of her life are a mystery to everyone, including her. Her earliest memories are on a the ship.
Ora was raised on a pirate ship. According to her crewmates, she was brought aboard by the captain, Raksasa Darat, when she was about three years old. He never said where she came from or if she was his biological daughter, but he raised her as his own.
The Green Dragon was not a typical pirate ship. They only attacked the trafficking ships bringing island "savages" as slaves to the entitled Aiden nobility. This didn't sit well with said nobility, especially since everyone was regarding the crew as heroes. They were constantly being attacked by the government, and, when Ora was foureen, Captain Raksasa was killed in one of these battles. His last words were to name her as the new captain,
That was when she got the tattoo done- a green dragon, of course. Raksasa had also had one, and the captain before him, and all the ones before that.
The crew worked even harder, and the nobles realized that it wasn't enough to just crush the Green Dragon- they had to cause the people to fear them. So they spread rumors, claiming that the crew were evil, that they used dark magic, that some of them were, horror of horrors, Cursed.
But that didn't faze Ora. She wore her new title, "The Red-Eyed Witch" as a mark of honor and went right on sailing. No one knew that she was actually Cursed- red eyes are unusual, of course, but not necessarily a sure sign of being Cursed.
After yet another battle, one of her crewmates was captured and Ora traded herself in exchange.
They didn't actually know whether or not she was Cursed, but neither did they care. She was handed off to the Snatchers, brought to the Palace. That was a month ago.
Relationship status: Contrary to her big talk and flirtatious mannerisms, Ora has never even kissed anyone, let alone had a real crush or been in a relationship.
Other: Ora is trained in pretty much all types of combat- fencing/swordfighting, boxing, and many, many others.

Age: 7 (buts looks 5)
Appearance: One look at Sapphira and the only word that pops into your head is beautiful. Although she is 7 years old, she is tiny and at first glance seems to be a small 5 year old. Her skin is like porcelain and there is not a scar or freckle to be seen. Everything about her is small and cute, from her nose to her ears. Her eyes are big and are the most mesmerising shade of sapphire blue. Her hair is long and, just like her feathers, alternates gradually between dark blue to vibrant green. To keep it out of her way of her wings she keeps it tied over her shoulder. Sapphira’s most eye catching feature however is the beautiful wings on her back (I’m not gonna explain about them as I’m assuming you all know the mechanics of wings on humans – coming from shoulder blades etc). They are just like her hummingbird guardians and their iridescent colouring is stunning (see photos for reference). She also has bird tail coming from her tailbone that has the same coloured feathers as her wings and spreads out into a fan to help with control whilst she is flying. When she flies her wings beat extremely fast (20 beats a second) and move in the typical hummingbird figure of 8 pattern.

Personality: Sapphira is an exquisite creature but her speed can put some people off. Overall she is a sweet girl, timid/shy at the beginning before she gets to know you. Then she is just a bundle of joy, kind and happy. Her air of innocence is no act and regardless of what she sees, she somehow manages to keep her pure heart that inherently sees the good in everything and everyone. She can be quite the solitary creature but also doesn’t mind company. However, that is dependent on the condition that they can keep up with her. Sapphira is extremely fast, flitting from one place to another, never staying in one place long enough for the dust to settle. She is also like this with conversations, her fast and sharp mind jumping from topic to topic faster than most can blink. In her times of movement she is a flurry of activity and frantic action that give most people whiplash and yet is controlled and graceful at all times. However, for a creature so fast, she actually spends a lot of her time absolutely still, just sitting and watching. She finds beauty in the simplest things and can just sit there for hours on end, watching with a smile on her face and joy in her heart. She switches between these two extremes often throughout the day and this can put people off. If you can’t keep up with her she has no problem leaving you behind, both physically and emotionally. Sapphira has a massive sweet tooth and due to her extremely high metabolism, needs lots of sugary foods (pretty much something sugary every half hour). She is mostly peaceful but will guard her sweets fiercely. She is also an incredible artist. With her ability to find beauty in everything, the arts just call to her, especially painting. She loves the vibrant colours of the paint and how all the splashes of colour can create something extraordinary. When she is fast her art reflects that, massive canvases with violent splashes of colours, pure emotion made physical. When she is still, her art is deep and quiet, detailed drawings of the landscapes around them, reflective and gentle. Her intelligence, excellent memory and controlled nature makes her the perfect person to keep secrets and deliver messages. However, as with everyone she has her bad sides and is actually quite vain. She can spend hours making sure her beautiful feathers are pristine and perfect. She is easily able to see the beauty within but it annoys her when the beauty without doesn’t reflect that and so loves giving all her friends makeovers. She is also controlled at all times and those that fall prey to their emotions also annoy her. If you are controlled by your emotions and lash out she will immediately think less of you and leave you in the dust.
Animal: Blue-chinned Sapphire Hummingbird
History: Her history is short and typical for Cursed children. She was born blind and without feathers but it wasn’t hard for her parents to see they had a Cursed child. After all, she had strange ‘appendages’ protruding from her shoulder blades. They called the Snatchers immediately but due to the rural nature of their town, it took a few days for them to get there. Her parents were disgusted but, fearing the wrath of the demons, kept the child fed. A few days later Sapphira’s feathers were growing in and they knew that this child was the worst of demons, a seductress, a temptress. One who’s beauty made men forget her Cursed nature until she caused their demise. Of course, that’s not true but her parents believed that. They died of ‘mysterious circumstances’ (suicide) a few hours after the Snatchers had taken the child. Once at the Palace of the Cursed she was taken care of in the nursery by Daphne until she was ready to leave and has since led a normal life at the palace, taking lessons from the older Cursed, running around the garden with her friends etc.
Relationship: None, she’s 7!
Other: Sapphira has very high visual sensitivity. Basically, she will see, understand and react to even the smallest of visual signals. Pretty much the only way you can sneak up on her is if you stay completely out of sight of both her and everyone around her. During the night she will slip into torpor (a mini hibernation) to preserve energy. She is also a very good singer and can learn a song just from hearing it once, however she rarely sings so most people don’t know this. She is very flexible and has excellent hand-eye coordination. Hummingbird Cursed (in the times when they were known as Blessed), were called Secret Keepers. This was because they were used to keep the most precious secrets of the royal family and as important messengers between those in power/important people.

Could you maybe put something in? Even just the bite? Its just that she has to have something physical from her god bar the eyes. She could have the bite but neither she nor anyone else knows if you want (people don't bite others so she never had the chance to find out).

Nickname: Rufi
Age: 24
Appearance: Rufino has deep red hair that he usually keeps in a high pony tail (the end of the tail reaches his shoulders). Sometimes though he lets it flow free, as seen in the photo. He has brilliant golden eyes which are always mesmerising and seductive. As in the photo he is thin but surprisingly strong, with pale skin that has a light tan. He is all sharp lines and small smirks, narrowed golden eyes watching you playfully. He is tall and very handsome and knows it. His most eye-catching feature however is the brilliant Scarlet Macaw wings the stretch from his shoulder blades and the Scarlet Macaw tail that comes from his tail bone. For his wings and tail, google images of Scarlet Macaws please. ((See photo but eyes gold and no eye-patch))
Personality: Rufino is practically the epitome of dramatic, always loud and over the top (though it makes people laugh). He is clever and sassy and always full of energy and personality. He is quite intelligent and although he hides his smarts behind his dramatic, play boy ways, it is easy to see if you know what to look for. Although Scarlet Macaws are monogamous, Rufino certainly is not and he is a major flirt. He pretty much lives and breathes flirting but this has made him very vain and he won’t leave his room until he looks presentable (he takes hours in the bathroom making sure he looks perfect). He is always looking for ways to be active and, more than anything, craves freedom. He despises living in a cage and has tried to escape numerous times (he only stopped because they threatened to clip his wings and for him, that is a fate worse than death). Although he seems like he doesn’t truly need other people, Rufino has many masks and is actually the exact opposite. He is sensitive and desperately needs company. He can get lonely very easily and this swings easily into depression where he will start pulling at his own feathers if someone doesn’t stop him. Whilst some people find him abrasive and annoying, those who know him know that he amps up that part of his personality at times as a mask. He is actually extremely kind and will often find people who are hurt or lonely and give them company. He knows when to tone down his dramatic side and although it is hard, will sit quietly if that’s what that person needs (afterwards though you better let him burn off the supressed energy).
Animal: Scarlet Macaw
History: Rufino has a typical Cursed history. His parents were relatively wealthy businessmen living in Hasseln (Aiden’s capitol). His mother was quite weak during the pregnancy and they feared what they believed to be ‘demon possession’. They were proven ‘right’ when Rufino was born. His father called the Snatchers that day and Rufino was taken away only hours after his birth. He was taken to the Palace and, like all baby Cursed, was put in the nursery to be looked after by Daphne, the hippo Cursed and nursery head. He was named Rufino by her because of his red hair and wings. Over the years Rufino has tried to escape multiple times, but he was caught each time. The last time they threatened to clip his wings and he has never tried again, not wanting a fate worse than death for him.
Relationship: Has had many flings over the years. Currently no one but he is open to anyone (he is pansexual).
Other: Rufino can only eat fruits, nuts and seeds and the odd vegetable. Rufino also loves the arts, particularly music. He also loves dancing and painting, anything that can be energetic and bright.

Appearance:
White hair (a genetic anomaly- not connected to being Cursed) with icy blue eyes that belie his warmth and curiosity. Rich brown skin with two tattooed white stripes beneath each eye. Beneath his bangs is a slightly darker strip of skin going down the center of his forehead.
Tonise is a little on the short side, and he's got a stocky build, but he's very fit and agile. He has small, sharp claws.
Tonise is deaf.
Personality: Tonise is the active, curious type, constantly exploring. He loves climbing, and he's also an incredible jumper. He's very cheerful and upbeat, although he doesn't talk much.
Animal: Quokka (Setonix brachyurus)
History: Tonise was born in one of the Northern Sefna tribes, where the Cursed are practically worshiped, and he hated it. He just wanted to be normal, and he already felt different enough because of his unusual coloring. He never really had any friends (think Avatar:Last Airbender), and there were no other cursed in his tribe.
When he was eighteen years old, a plague ravaged the tribe and almost everyone died. The few survivors, weak and alone, were rescued/adopted by another tribe, but Tonise was deathly ill for months afterwards, and when his fever finally broke, he'd lost his hearing.
The loss of his family and keen hearing caused Tonise to sink into a deep depression, and he started avoiding everyone, spending long stretches of time wandering and exploring the desert on his own. But there was one person who never gave upon him. The entire time he was sick, she stayed by his side, nursing him back to life, and when woke up and realized what he'd lost, she was the one to come up with the hand code he now uses, and she was the one who stood by his side when he felt most alone.
Tonise had known her before, of course. They'd met at Gatherings, and their tribes were close, but he'd always thought of her as a pesky little kid. But it wasn't some little kid who made him want to live, to explore, to dream. It was the beautiful young woman who stole his heart without even trying.
He couldn't tell her, of course. He was content just to stay by her side. She was too young, and why would she ever want a broken man like him?
After the latest Gathering, their tribe went farther south than usual, and the two of them went exploring. They started arguing and she stormed off in a huff. Tonise followed her from a distance, knowing she needed space but too worried to let her want off into strange territory. Which was why he saw her carried off by the Snatchers.
He slipped in the closest town and purposely caused enough of a disturbance that the Snatchers carried him off.
Tonise arrived at the Palace just a few days after she did, and he's been exploring and meeting new people-- he loves being around other people like him. But he's been careful to make sure that she doesn't know he's there-- she'd feel guilty and blame herself.
Relationship: In case you didn't get the memo, Tonise is madly in love with Zibiah.

Animal: Northern Sydney Funnel Web Spider. (One of the most deadly on earth.) Spider renamed to Northern Mountain spider.
Animal traits: Thickened skin though is shallow around joints to making moving easier. Large fangs that fold up into the roof of his mouth that can't be seen till he drops them in defense. 2 types of potent venom that can kill a man in 20 seconds and the other is used to dissolve a creature's insides for him to consume later. He also has the ability to climb walls like a spider and can stick to any surface provided he hasn't been soaked to the bone.
Relationship: Married to Hanji. Location unknown.
History: He is Aelin and Rowans uncle. He helped his older brother raise his children for 6 months before he left to find his missing wife and then found out that his brother had died/ been murdered before going back to find the twins. After searching for the twins for three months with no luck he killed a dying man to get himself thrown into the palace under a different name to protect his family outside the palace. After arriving at the palace he was branded like an Animal showing what cursed he is and what traits he has. This can not be seen as it is on his back underneath a shirt which he makes sure is covered at all times. He is a champion of the games under the codename Captain.
Family: Aelin (Niece, living), Rowan (Nephew, Living), Hanji (Wife, Living), Isabel (Sister living), Furlan (Brother in-law living), Grisha (Older brother, Deceased), Kutchel Jaeger-Ackerman (Mother, living)
Other: His family used to protect the royal family and now run the largest chicken farm on the continent. No one knew that he was cursed till he met his cursed wife Hanji who found out by chance. He revealed his cursed side to Grisha after the twins were born and Grisha was going to hand them over to the snatchers. This encouraged Grisha to keep the twins and care for them. Levi is also a talented weaver and has woven many items for the royal family and is the only man who sold spider silk items. This led to him keeping spiders as pets to avoid suspicion of being cursed and it worked for over 20 years people still don't know that he is the envied weaver.
