Robert Zwilling | 15 comments I have published an E-Book with an ASIN number. I am now making a printed version of the E-Book. Is the printed version a completely new book, or is it an edition of the E-Book.

The binding will be plastic comb which is not listed as a book type. I have a choice of spiral or unknown binding. What is the function of other as an option instead of picking an actual format such as "unknown binding."

Format [Pick the format from a list] Other

Elizabeth (Alaska) A printed book and a digital book are different editions. For the format, you can select "other" so that the field becomes a text field where you can enter Plastic Comb.

lethe | 16359 comments I thought plastic comb was a type of spiral.

Robert Zwilling | 15 comments There is enough of a difference so I wouldn't call it the same.

Spiral is a continuous coil of wire or hard plastic with the ends bent over so the pages don't come loose. The book can be bent back 360 degrees.

The plastic combs have a spine and the rings can be opened after it is in place. The book doesn't open all the way.
