Read in the 80's, this book is about a man who "dies" at his office and wakes up in his college dorm room. He lives a life different from the prior one until he has another heart attack, "dies" and wakes up again in his office. The cycles repeats several times, with him learning and changing with each life. At the end, he reaches the point of his "death" but does not die, and is given the chance to "make his life right"
