Witch Child is really good. The history behind the story is pretty accurate. I nominate: A Rose for the ANZAC Boys
which may not be widely available but for some reason my library has a digital copy.
I think I'm the only one who never liked Island of the Blue Dolphins.
so I also nominate
Panama
I would like to nominate When Saigon Surrendered: A Kentucky Mystery - a wonderful read that transports you back to 1975 and the many interesting things that happened right after Vietnam. Main characters are Kentucky teenagers who have to deal with some very nasty people.
Thanks for the all the great suggestions guys. Nominations are now over, and the voting poll is up until April 2nd!
