QNPoohBear | 120 comments Witch Child is really good. The history behind the story is pretty accurate.

I nominate: A Rose for the ANZAC Boys A Rose for the ANZAC Boys by Jackie French
which may not be widely available but for some reason my library has a digital copy.

I think I'm the only one who never liked Island of the Blue Dolphins.

so I also nominate
Panama by Shelby Hiatt Panama

QNPoohBear | 120 comments The War That Saved My Life was the best book I read last year. It made me cry.

message 9: by Luci (new)

Luci (luciskydyme) I would like to nominate When Saigon Surrendered: A Kentucky Mystery - a wonderful read that transports you back to 1975 and the many interesting things that happened right after Vietnam. Main characters are Kentucky teenagers who have to deal with some very nasty people.

message 10: by Esther (new)

Esther Pierce I will second When Saigon Surrendered, really good.
