Parker Goodrich | 4 comments I have just started to reread the Eragon series. I am on page 156 and plan on completing the entire series this time. It has been a while since I have read this book, sop I am rereading it and then going to buy the whole series, and finish all the books in the series. Last year I tried to read "Eldest" which is the second book in this series, but it was a little harder to follow because I couldn't remember all of the characters names. Hopefully starting at the beginning will give me a better understanding of the book so that I can read the whole series and be very involved with the story. I have read a lot in a short period of time, and am looking to finish this book fairly soon. It has about 500 pages in it, but the story is very interesting to me so it doesn't feel that long. Once I am done reading it, I will post a review and compare it to when I first read this book. Reading it a second time has already exposed me to many more details I didn't completely pick up on the first time. I can already tell I am understanding the story more well, because I have a much larger vocabulary than I did when I was in elementary and middle school.

Parker Goodrich | 4 comments UPDATE: I have finished Eragon. I have bought the rest of the series and have continued to the next book in the series, "Eldest". This is my favorite series other than, "The Hunger Games" series. I think this one is better just because it is set in a time period that I find more enjoyable. This book is much more visual also than "The Hunger Games" which I really enjoy in a book. Also this book has a much broader vocabulary and sounds very sophisticated. This book just keeps the reader constantly reading with the beautiful organization and the layout of the story. I recommend this series to any of my friends that are interested in the fantasy genre. I plan on finishing the book by the end of spring break with all of the traveling I am doing, so hopefully I will be able to start the 3rd book by the time we get back to school in a couple of weeks.

I agree that re-reading a book gives you a much better understanding of the context and makes you notice things you didn't before.

Brendan Smith | 12 comments Is there any other series that you could possibly compare the series you are currently reading to? Would you say that the story is complicated or hard to follow at all? Also is there another author that you could possibly compare to the author you are currently reading?
