Day 12

Recommendations

**Recommendations**

Recommend at least 3 books that you'd like to see be made into a TV show or Movie.
Leprechaun Bonus (2 coin) ~ Recommend a book that you'd like to see made into TV/Movie with the word BLUE in the title.

(Can't already be a show/movie, or in process of being made, like Ready Player One)

Daphne (daphnesm) | 937 comments Blue Moon Rising
Blue Moon Rising (Forest Kingdom, #1) by Simon R. Green
This movie needs to be made if only to capture the magic and essence of a battle unicorn that pees when he gets nervous, an aging dragon that consistently falls asleep at inopportune times, and a hero with a magic swords that shoots rainbows.

The Iliad & The Odyssey
The Iliad/The Odyssey by Homer
This needs to be made...following the actual storyline.

Candide
Candide by Voltaire
Yes, please.

Stephanie | 194 comments Brave New World by Aldous Huxley The Eye of the World (Wheel of Time, #1) by Robert Jordan Dead Witch Walking (The Hollows, #1) by Kim Harrison

(Although, I think the second two would be better HBO-style TV shows than movies and they could just go through the series).

message 4: by Karsyn (new)

Karsyn (imzadi) Since Ready Player One seems to be finally getting going (YAY), I think the only book I want to see as a movie now is my favorite ~

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

But only if they don't mess it up. I hated a few things that they did in The Martian and the last thing almost ruined it for me. If they did The Night Circus and messed it up, I'd be inconsolable. :)

Others I wouldn't mind seeing made into tv or movie ~

Lock In (Lock In, #1) by John Scalzi Timebound (The Chronos Files, #1) by Rysa Walker The Inventor's Secret (Cragbridge Hall, #1) by Chad Morris

And my newly found series love would be a GREAT tv show ~

Just One Damned Thing After Another (The Chronicles of St. Mary's, #1) by Jodi Taylor

JoLene (trvl2mtns) | 705 comments A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness A Darker Shade of Magic (Shades of Magic, #1) by V.E. Schwab The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

Sapphire Blue (Precious Stone Trilogy, #2) by Kerstin Gier - this is the 2nd book in the series, but it has the blue in title

Lindsay♫SingerOfStories♫ (lindsaysingerofstories) | 707 comments 3 books I would love to see made into a movie, one with blue in the title:

Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky, #1) by Veronica Rossi Through the Ever Night (Under the Never Sky, #2) by Veronica Rossi Into the Still Blue (Under the Never Sky, #3) by Veronica Rossi

I really enjoyed this trilogy and it would make an AWESOME series!!

message 7: by Jen (new)

Jen (reader44ever) | 2930 comments I probably wouldn't ever watch them, as even if they were well done I doubt they could be as good as the books are for me, but here are three books that I think could be interesting:
Blue Dahlia (In The Garden #1) by Nora Roberts . . . for the Leprechaun Bonus. :-)
Absolutely, Positively by Jayne Ann Krentz Getting Rid of Bradley by Jennifer Crusie

That's what that book has in it? I need to move it up my TBR, stat! :-)

Angie ☯ | 3092 comments Blue Smoke by Nora Roberts (LC = 2)
Ink and Bone (The Great Library, #1) by Rachel Caine

Sorry Angie, can't give you Blue Smoke. It's actually a very good Lifetime Channel movie with Scott Bakula as her mentor.

message 11: by Lauri (new)

Lauri (otwlauri) | 1723 comments All of the Stepanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich! I'm a huge fan, no matter what anyone says! The 1st one was made as a movie already One for the Money (Stephanie Plum, #1) by Janet Evanovich
Starring Katherine Heigl, but it sort of tanked. I still loved it! So maybe a TV series? It could run for years...
I also think The Hollows series would be good. Loved Dead Witch Walking (The Hollows, #1) by Kim Harrison

message 12: by Zuzana (new)

Zuzana | 2568 comments I would love for Lost Stars to be made into an animated TV show.
His Majesty's Dragon would make an excellent historical/fantasy movie.
And for a LC bonus I'd love to see a Gathering Blue movie. They made The Giver already so it would make sense to continue with the second book in the series.

Rebecca (rebeccasg) | 3792 comments Something Blue - for some reason this sequel was NEVER MADE but I really wish it was.

The Hangman's Daughter - I think this would be an awesome period movie with a killer set

The Language of Flowers I also think this would be an awesome and powerful movie
