The Girl on the Train
question
Started slow

Does anyone else think this started slow? Maybe I have a short attention span but 75-80 pages of psychological introduction to the characters was enough for me.
Update: I'm glad I read it! It was marvelous!

I felt lost because I was mixing all female carachters, Rachel, the other woman... I had to get back the pages to read again. Maybe it was necessary to start slow because the author wanted to play with our minds.

All the female characters sounded the same. A good writer would have used different voices for each woman. Yes, the book started slow and it picked up so gradually that I almost lost interest before the ending.
Very slow. It took a while before we even knew who disappeared or was murdered. The ending was predictable.
Started slow then failed to maintain that pace. So ordinary..
I agree it was slow, that forgot about the intro of Megan being attacked until it repeated itself later, and I was even thinking maybe she was still alive until they found her body.
