1. Rebirth, Rejuvenation, Renewal, Resurrection & Regrowth: Egg & Spoon - Russia is suffering. Her people are starving, the Firebird is missing, St. Petersburg is drowning in its own canals. The adventure that rights these wrongs is definitely one of rebirth, renewal, resurrection - personal, spiritual and even as it pertains to the country of Russia itself (Russian Revolution)
2. Spring storms, Tornadoes, mud slides, flooding I Survived the Joplin Tornado, 2011
3. Gardening, Planting roots - Folklore and Early Customs of Southeast Missouri - I'm putting this here because there is a section of superstitions, cures, signs and omens and most of them have to do with planting and harvesting.
4. April Fools- something silly - Flora and Ulysses: The Illuminated Adventures qualifies as something silly because a squirrel gets sucked into a super vacuum, gets saved by Flora, and develops the ability to fly and communicate.
5. Tax day: IRS, tax evasion, anything that relates: Sweet Mercy - After searching "tax evasion" at my local library, I found this novel is set in Ohio during Prohibition. The main character finds out her family is involved in bootlegging, and just happens to have a run in with Al Capone and some "Revenuers."
6. Arbor Day: Anything related to environment, whether it is the character or what is going on Okay, I'm using Green Eyes for this one since it is about a cat enjoying the four seasons. That works for environment, right?
Found a better one for this. Shark Beneath the Reef is set in the Sea of Cortez. The main character lives in a fishing village. The locals are suffering because the area has been overfished by Japanese fishing boats.
7. Mothers Day or Fathers Day - One for the Murphys - deals with a child in foster care finally realizing what it's like to feel a mother's love. There is a chapter centered around Mother's Day.
8. Mythology: Spring comes back when Persephone returns to Demeter, read a book about a homecoming or a lost child returning home. Lost! A Story in String is a story in a story about a young girl who sets out to find her dog but has to rely on her wits to find her way home.
9. On cover of the book: buds, flowers, baby animals, rain, lightning, jester costume, suit & tie, trees.

You can read fiction or non fiction whichever you prefer.
