So what does everyone think of this book?

Victoria Scott | 1131 comments I loved this book! I haven't read it since it came out, but I remember really relating to Cath :)

Mary Bronson I have not read this book since it came out, but I do own it. I still love this book. Cather is so totally me. I feel that she and I connect in so many ways. I love the connection she and her twin have and even though Wren want to go her separate way in college Cather still loves her. Plus Levi is AMAZING! I also love how in the young adult class Levi was in was reading "The Outsiders" which is AMAZING cause that is one of my favorite books EVER!

Melanie I loved this book! It made me totally want to geek out and read Harry Potter fanfic, something I'd never been interested in before reading FanGirl. I've also put a hold on Carry On in my library. I love Rainbow Rowell and everything she writes. I need more!

Victoria Scott | 1131 comments Mary, I haven't read the Outsiders! What's it like?
Mel, I was the same about the fanfic :P I went through a phase when I was younger, and it was hard to resist getting addicted again

Mary Bronson Hey! Sorry. The Outsiders is a great book! It is a book about a young boy name Ponyboy who is telling a story about an event that happened to him and his friends. I am bad at explaining things without giving it away. So click on the link :)

Victoria Scott | 1131 comments Oh, I have heard of that one! It seems interesting :)

Mary Bronson It is! This is one of my favorite books EVER!

message 10: by Kasia (new)

Kasia (kasiareads) | 240 comments I'm not into Rainbow Rowell's writing style. I tried to read Eleanor and Park, couldn't get past 20 pages. I tried the first chapter of Fangirl, didn't like it as well. :/

Victoria Scott | 1131 comments Do you know why Kasia? I absolutely adore her writing

message 12: by Kasia (new)

Kasia (kasiareads) | 240 comments First of all, I feel like the way the font is place in her books ( is it smaller? I'm not sure how to explain it, but it's not what I'm used to) plus E&P is in third person and I think the worst perspective in any book is third person, ESPECIALLY for contemporaries.

message 13: by Kasia (new)

Kasia (kasiareads) | 240 comments Third person is someone narrating another person's story. First person is a character(s) who talks about their own story. First person is much more relatable, and since contemporaries have to do with modern life issues, I want to be able to relate to a certain character since I should be able to about modern life issues.

Victoria Scott | 1131 comments Oh yeah, I can understand not liking third person :) I prefer first, but don't mind third if the writing is good
