Was it required reading for school? Something you picked up for school? Did you read it for the first time for The Big Read? Or have you yet to read it? Tell us about your first experiences with Fahrenheit 451!

Chloe (chloe36) | 21 comments I read Fahrenheit 451 my freshman year of high school for my language arts class. I enjoyed the book, but would want to read it again for better comprehension.

Bdmink | 41 comments I read in high school for a panel discussion in literature class. I'm not a big fan of sci-fi so I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to re-read it for the big read.

My first experience with this book was in the eighth grade and...it changed my life. I was blown away by the concepts and it started my love affair with dystopian fiction. I hadn't read *anything* like it before.

Unfortunately, I haven't read it in a very long while... And I'd like to dive back in again.

Working on reading it for the first time. It was not required reading for me in school.

Joy | 2 comments This was my first time reading the book. As an adult, I am appreciating the classics much, much more than I would have or did in school. I really enjoyed reading Fahrenheit 451. Lots of interesting thoughts to consider as I read through the story.
