To celebrate S. Patrick's day and to keep you motivate to change our beloved mods back to normal, we're presenting you with the List of Team Challenges for the Leprechaun Winner to chose from.

As a Leprechaun Hijinks we're allowing not only to take a peak at the list below but to post your thoughts about it. It's never too much to "help" the winner chose :)

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Bookee!
Roll the dice and beat your opponents on a book reading version of the popular Yatzhee game.

Book Buffs’ Battleship
A six week challenge based on the popular game Battleship. Teams must try to sink their opponent teams and win the battle of books.

Fate and the Horde of Minions
Band together with your fellow readers and fight the forces of Fate! Unfortunately, fate has some new minions who will throw up new obstacles in your path. Can you beat the tides of fate?

Players will be on one massive team with several leaders. Readers who read less than 50 books a year may choose to be a minion. Minions will read books to affect the goals of the main group of players. Win by completing all the tasks and reaching the goal.

The Gladiator Games
Do you have what it takes to compete in the Arena? Compete each round before merging teams for larger and larger battles.

Players will be divided into 16 teams. After the first round, ranks will be announced and the 1st and 16th team will be merged, the 2nd and 15th team, etc. Then the battle will resume. Each round, ranks will be announced and teams merged top and bottom. The final round will be four massive teams battling.

A Hero's Journey
Join a hero as they go out and achieve great deeds on behalf of the NBRC. Each team will travel along the steps of the classic Hero's Journey. The specific task of each step will be randomly assigned to each team for the following week.

The Labors of Bookules
The goddess Hera, determined to make trouble for Bookules, made him lose his mind.

When he awakened from his "temporary insanity" caused by the shinny and gold like liquid, Bookules was shocked and upset by what he'd done. There were pages scattered everywhere, ink splayed on the walls and precious books lost.He prayed to the god Apollo for guidance, and the god's oracle told him he would have to perform twelve Labors, feats so difficult that they seemed impossible. Fortunately, Hercules had the favor of Hermes and Athena, sympathetic deities who allowed for him to have the help of some intrepid NBRC members.

Each week the teams must to overcome a labor, completing some tasks and be rewarded with some prizes. By the end of the challenge, Bookules and the chosen team will be, without a doubt, NBRC's greatest heroes.

Luck of the Irish
Mods are back to normal, but the magic tornado did more than let the Leprechauns on the loose. Are you brave enough to explore Fairyland, overcome obstacles and encounters with wicked beings to help the Irish get his luck back?

The Mad Hatter's Tea Party
You're cordially invited to the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. Read the directions and directly you will be directed in the right direction.

This is a build your own adventure reading challenge. Each team must travel through Wonderland, choosing which direction to take at some key points. Beware, all roads lead to Rome but only the right one will take you to the party.

The NBRC Olympic Games
Come join the 2016 NBRC Olympic Games! Apply books to various sporting events to medal against other teams. The team with the most medals at the end of the games win!

A Novel Role Playing Game - Multi-Player
Queen Skye has called together knights from the surrounding realm to join in the Tournament of Novels. It is held in Novel Kingdom every 2 years and features the best knights from the region. Which hero will reign supreme? But beware, within this idyllic countryside lies twists and turns.

Players will be divided into teams and given a Hero. Each team may level their hero however they want in preparation for the tournament and any other situations.

Superior Super Heroes
The Golden Hero awards are just around the corner. Do you have what it takes to declare yourself the cream of the crop? Help the forces of good band together against the other forces of good and rise to the elite levels of herodom.

Players will be divided into teams and assigned a hero with strengths and weaknesses. Each hero is assigned to a side of good. Work with the other heroes on your side to complete all your tasks before the other side. Certain tasks may require certain strengths or prohibit certain weaknesses.

Texas Read 'em
Do you have a good poker face? Now is the time to prove it. Join us for a four weeks book poker game where everyone Bets, Calls, Raises or Folds.
Best hand wins.

"Takes a minute to learn and a lifetime to master." ~ Mike Sexton

UnCover It!
NBRC's bookshelf was raided and all our previous BOM scattered between teams. Use your powers of deduction, questioning skills and very pointed choices to "uncover" your opponents books and help us restore our precious archives.

Wheelathon
One of NBRC's favorites. With a spin and spell of the wheel, teams must read for the higher amount of points and prizes.

We got some oldies, some ideas already formed and other brand new and added them all to the pot. Magic Tornado did the rest.

GG were so much fun I would love to do another. Battleship looks really fun too!!!

Amy the book-bat (batkisses) | 914 comments They all sound interesting. Another GR group is doing Battleship and it is set to start on April 1. Otherwise, everything sounds pretty unique. I think it would be fun to do the Olympics when the actual Olympics are happening. I'm intrigued by the Mad Hatter's Tea Party.

I believe AMMP's Game Night is the group playing Battleship right now.

message 15: by Barbara ★ (new)

Barbara ★ They all sound interesting but the Mad Hatter's Tea Party is ringing my bells.

message 16: by Audrey Jane (new)

Audrey Jane | 1815 comments I'm impressed Leprechaun King, these are some nice suggestions! Looking forward to all of them but I agree with Stacie as well, it would be nice to do something new. I'm most curious about The Mad Hatter's Tea Party, the NRPG - Multi Player and Superior Super Heroes.

message 17: by Samantha (new)

Samantha (missymaysreadingnook) | 808 comments Being new to this group (joined in January), I'm REALLY excited about all of these challenges!!!!!! They all sound fun and exciting and I'm looking forward to them all!

The ones that attract me the most....hmm... are probably Fate and the Horde of Minions (I like that there is something for everyone), the Labors of Bookcules (I like the sense of adventure and completing tasks), The Mad Hatters Tea Party (it's cool how it's a build your own adventure!), the Multi-Player NRPG game!!!!! (I've mentioned a billion times how much I love the NRPG), and Superior Super Heroes (I like that the hero has pre-determined strengths and weaknesses that you need to strategize with).

And Yes, I realize I just listed about half of the challenges, but I don't care :P
