Can I have a hug please?
Big hugs all around. Sometimes I wonder why I write. I do belong to a couple of writer's groups that keep me going. It helps to have people to encourage by needing to have something done each week. If it's in our soul, how can we not do it?

We are inthe sme boat. We have a book launch 2/18 and did everything you could thoink of to push it, i.e. social media, invites and book markes. I have 3 who confirmed. Plus that day is suppose to be a storm, thunder and rain. So these three may not come.When you do all you can do, sometimes it just doesn't work. Good luck to everyone who is planning a launch.

Be watchful of your activities during the day. If you are spending a lot of time watching criminal or horror movies, listening to tragic stories, or spending time with people who complain every time, your subconscious mind will have restless and negative thoughts. Do not feed negativity into your mind.

Alex; free promos can be good. Especially if you have a series and are trying to encourage readers to buy the next book.
I don't have a series.
And actually experience has taught me readers who get a book for free then place no value on it. Even if they read it they're unlikely to review.
99c sales help reduce that effect. And you get to see your book climbing the charts for a day which is always a nice feeling.
The other thing with freebies is readers expectto get all books for free, thus making it harder for authors in the long run.
I know all this but did it anyway. Just got carried away, I guess.
