amg Hello Paula Brackston Fans!
Welcome back to our read-along of THE RETURN OF THE WITCH -- read along or read at your own pace, and participate in the discussion here! We will be dividing up the book into six parts. You can discuss Part 2 here. Part 3 will be posted on Friday, 3/18.

For your reference, here are the six parts:
Part 1 - Beginning to Chapter 5
Part 2 - Chapter 5 to Chapter 11
Part 3 - Chapter 11 to Chapter 17
Part 4 - Chapter 17 to Chapter 22
Part 5 - Chapter 22 to Chapter 26
Part 6 - Chapter 26 to Ending

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS FOR PART 2:
1. What was your first impression of Erasmus?
2. Were you surprised to hear that Gideon killed the Time Stepper who helped him?
3. How do you feel now that Elizabeth is back in Batchcombe? What about when Bess encountered William again? What differences do you notice in the town and its people?
4. What were your thoughts when the narrative switched to Tegan's point of view? Later on, how did you feel when you learned that Gideon had ewitched her?
5. Were you surprised by what Keanes gave Elizabeth?

Judy Nappa (jlnn) | 6 comments 1. I liked him from the start and knew that he'd help Elizabeth.

2. Not at all, would have been more surprised if he hadn't.

3. She has to be careful because people have long memories. I held my breath for a moment when Bess met William but then slowly exhaled. The town and people are not the same as when Bess was last there. Times are much tougher and people are having a very hard time.

4. I actually prefer the narrative switching between Tegan and Elizabeth. Makes for interesting reading.

5. No, I felt that he admired her and wanted to help her any way he could.
