SOLVED. Koontz book, bird tells MC to kill ppl [s]

A guy in my creative writing class mentioned this book but couldn't remember which of the many titles by Koontz it was. There's a bird, maybe a crow, that talks to the main character and tells them to kill people. I've read a few Koontz books and would love to find this one! Thanks!

I'm having a look at this book now, and the raven never talks to him, but is a constant presence. I have a feeling that I've read this book too, but I don't know what it is.
