I'm planning on reading this, I just don't know when... How good are these books?

THEY ROCK.
I read these both; the author is a poetic genius. Ever sentence is another perfect verse... and the story is complex and full of action. Especially at the ends!
The problem is that some people think that this series is too confusing (you just have to be open-minded) and they think that the second book isnt as good (it isn't.)
But read it anyways!

It's basically dystopian poetry... it's crazy!
It involves aliens, soldiers, action, life, death, the question, the answer, chess, strawberry frappucinos, love, and wonderlands. ;)

Can I just point out the fact that Evan is always so faithful? He always comes back. Like... how many times did they get separated??? And he's either rushing back to save someone or limping back to a campsite... He sure knows what it means to persevere! <3

I thought the movie was terrible, even though the book was absolutely wonderful. It got rid of everything that made the writing unique, and turned it into an extremely cliché YA flick.

I read the first book, and I was kind of meh about it. I feel like I'm in the minority but I thought the beggining was kind of slow, and the rest was kind of meh meh meh oh interesting meh. I liked it... But didn't love it to death. I'm thinking of picking up The infinite sea to see if it gets any better, so if any of you guys read the second one, please tell me if I should pick it up or not bother... Thanks!
