I forgot the other Coben book I had planned to read doesn't come out until the end of the month, so I picked up this one till then. This one begins with a lawyer named Adam Price who is a successful lawyer with a beautiful wife and two amazing sons. Adam is living the dream until one day when a stranger comes up to him and tells him that his wife has been lying to him. When Adam confronts his wife about the information he finds himself entangled in a web that goes farther than what he believed.

I have been surprised with reading Coben. I'm not a huge mystery thriller person, and randomly picked up another Coben book a few years ago and have really enjoyed his work so far. I gave this book, The Stranger, four stars because I like reading Coben, but honestly this was not his best work and is probably more like three and a half. The ending was not what I thought it would be, and some of the plot was just a little too easy. I had also hoped that some of the other minor characters would be fleshed out, because I feel that would've added to the mystery, but that just didn't happen. Anyways I'm still excited to tackle the new one Fool Me Once when it comes out.

Susie I've not read Harlan Coben. It seems I should! I'm really enjoying this month's tag as I am getting so many recommendations. Mystery is one of my favourite genres. :-)

I really thought I was going to be adding books left and right this month, mystery-thriller falls right in my wheel-house! Surprisingly, I've only added one so far ... Its made me think, 'It must be hard to distinguish yourself as an author, and distinguish your book(s) from all the others, in such a saturated genre.'

Susie So hard! To find something unique that sets you apart - a tough job for a mystery author.
