We live in a small town in upstate New York. It's pretty quaint and quiet for 3/4ths of the year. But during summer, horse racing starts and the place gets nuts. People from all over the world flock here and I...stay in my house. Traffic is a nightmare.
2: What is the current weather where you are?
It's cool and cloudy today, which is a step up from all the rain yesterday.
3: What do you like most / least about you live?
Most: My boys' schools. They both go to awesome schools with INCREDIBLE teachers. I'm so grateful both their introductions to school life have been very positive.
Least: I'm not a fan of driving in the snow and that happens a lot in New York.
4: How long have you lived where you reside now?
We've been here for three years now, which is a fairly long time to be anywhere for a submariner.
5: Where all have you lived?
Two different cities in Wisconsin. Charleston, South Carolina. San Diego, California. Thailand but only for a couple months. It's gotten to where at this point, 2-3 years anywhere and I'm ready to move. I genuinely cannot imagine being a civilian and staying put somewhere permanently.

I live in a city with a major university in it (University of Maryland College Park) so parts of it are filled with students and fast food chains. I live in the Northern part of the city so it's a lot quieter. I actually really like living there which was a surprise to me.
2: What is the current weather where you are?
We're on day two of intermittent rain with temps in the 50s.
3: What do you like most / least about you live?
I love the proximity to Washington, DC. I hate the proximity to Washington, DC during tourist season.
4: How long have you lived where you reside now?
Five years in May since we bought our house
5: Where all have you lived?
It's not very exciting.

1: What is your town/city/state/country like?
Leeds is one of the larger cities in England, but it's rarely visited (or even heard of) by tourists. It's a former industrial city that has experienced a major resurgence in the last decade and is becoming a great place for young professionals.
2: What is the current weather where you are?
It's winter in northern England - it's grey and rainy and chilly but not cold.
3: What do you like most / least about you live?
I like the easy access to Europe, so that I can finally visit a lot of places I've dreamed about. I like that this is a large enough city to have variety in food and regular plays/festivals/activities. I like that despite being in one of the most-touristed countries in the world, Leeds is just for the people who live here.
I don't like the weather - I've essentially had to give up sleeveless tops. I don't like the dark winters, but I do like the light summers so it's a fair trade.
4: How long have you lived where you reside now?
2 years
5: Where all have you lived?
Vienna, WV
Raleigh, NC
Santander, Spain
Boulder, CO
Leeds, UK

1: What is your town/city/state/country like?
The town I live in is TINY, especially compared to where I lived last. There's less than 2k people around here and it's all spread out into the mountains. There's NOTHING here. We have 2 stoplights, 2 grocery stories, 2 dollar stores, a BK, Hardees and Subway. There's a handful of mom&pop places, and that's about it. We're 25+ miles to the nearest Walmart. I don't even know if there's a Target around.
2: What is the current weather where you are?
No clue, I usually don't leave the house. :) I think it was cool out, according to my Hubby. No rain so far like yesterday.
3: What do you like most / least about you live?
Most: Being in the mountains, the small town, not many people.
Least: Neighbors (we're in a duplex and they are loud), being right on the "main" road so no privacy, can't just go outside. And the fact that I can't leave town, but that's not the town's fault. :)
4: How long have you lived where you reside now?
May will be 4 years that we have been in the state of NC and August will be 4 years that we've lived here in the duplex.
5: Where all have you lived?
Fombell, PA (hour north of Pittsburgh)
Polk County, FL (various places)
Tampa, FL
Lake County, FL (various places)
Kissimmee, FL
Sparta, NC

1: What is your town/city/state/country like?
I live in the suburbs of Seattle, so it's very busy here. So much hustling and bustling. It's a very tech centric area as we have Nintendo, Amazon, Microsoft, T-Mobile, etc. all centered here in some fashion. Weather is always rainy and mild. We're known for coffee, evergreen trees, and rain!
2: What is the current weather where you are?
It's chilly and clear at the moment, but we've been fighting some nasty wind storms the pas couple of weeks.
3: What do you like most / least about you live?
I feel this area has everything. We're near the ocean, near the mountains, near canada if that's your thing. We have a lot of choices on what to do and places to go. It's also a very nerdy town so I feel that I fit right in.
4: How long have you lived where you reside now?
I grew up just south of Seattle, so basically all of my life minus my college years.
5: Where all have you lived?
Various suburbs of Seattle, WA
Washington, DC
Monmouth, OR
Forest Grove, OR

1: What is your town/city/state/country like?
I love it. It's a moderate-sized city with a great university, great public school systems, and a fairly low crime rate. It's near the Smoky Mountains, which are absolutely gorgeous.
2: What is the current weather where you are?
63 and sunny. :)
3: What do you like most / least about you live?
Most - The weather, the school, how close I am to stores and such...
Least - Rent is pretty expensive.
4: How long have you lived where you reside now?
I've been here for a year and a half now.
5: Where all have you lived?
Two places in Wisconsin, where I grew up - one near the capital of Wisconsin and one that was mostly an Amish community.
South Carolina in the muggy humidity for 3 years. It was awful and I hated the bugs.
Virginia Beach. I loved it there! It was perfect.
I currently live in Tennessee and there's nowhere else I'd rather be right now. :)

Extremely rural- sort of in the middle of nowhere, but near a college town, so it's okay. We have most of the important things within a twenty minute drive. Just about everyone I have met here is EXTREMELY conservative, which is hard because I am now, but everyone is pretty nice (at least to your face) so it's okay.
2: What is the current weather where you are?
Sunny but VERY windy.
3: What do you like most / least about you live?
I like that it feels like a real town. People know each other fairly well even after talking only a few times. You get waved at by people you just met. I dislike the cliquish quality of most people. There seems to be a "people who grew up here" group and a ":people who moved here group" and unless you've been here for about 20-25 years you aren't really a resident. So people are very outwardly friendly but it is hard to make REAL friends.
4: How long have you lived where you reside now?
In eastern Washington in general- 11 years
In Colfax- 6 years
5: Where all have you lived?
Bremerton, WA- lived in the same house my entire life
Pullman, WA- went to college and moved there for a while
Colfax, WA- bought a house here

Another thing in common! I was born and raised in Wisconsin. Two towns no one has ever heard of though lol Shawano and Waupaca.

1: What is your town/city/state/country like?
I live in the San Francisco Bay area -- specifically on the peninsula (which means about 10 miles south of the city.) This area is a melting pot --- there are a couple big cities (SF, San Jose) and then lots of suburban cities. There are mountains, bays and ocean within 1 hour drive. The down side for this is its very, very expensive and live if fairly fast-paced.
2: What is the current weather where you are?
The sun if finally shining after about 5 days of rain --- but we needed the rain so no complaints.
3: What do you like most / least about you live?
Love the weather and access to outdoor activities. Hate the cost.
4: How long have you lived where you reside now?
I moved here in 1991, but bought my house in 2005.
5: Where all have you lived?
Born in Peoria, and lived in Washington IL (small town outside Peoria) --- sadly my childhood house/meighborhood was destroyed by tornado a couple years ago.
Moved to New Orleans, LA -- lots of culture shock!!
Went to college in Houston TX (5 years)
Went to grad school in Phoenix, AZ (2 years)
Moved to Bay Area in 1991
Moved to Grenoble France in 1997 (where I met my husband, but he's also American)
Moved back to bay area 1999 and have been here ever since.
Last year we bought our retirement/vacation house in Oakhurst CA --- it's about 8 miles from the south entrance to Yosemite.

1: What is your town/city/state/country like?
Well, I live in Huntington Beach, California, which is Orange County, so it's definitely busy. I love being so close to the ocean so I can see it whenever I have time (I was born and raised in Iowa). There's a lot of options of what to do and basically if I can think of it, there's a place I can do it. It's definitely more expensive than my fiancé' and I would prefer, but we're loving it otherwise so far.
2: What is the current weather where you are?
It's kind of overcast right now. What tends to happen in the spring time is it will be overcast in the morning, then about 10:30-11:30, the sky will clear up and it'll be as blue as a robin's egg for the rest of the day. We actually got some rain yesterday morning though, which was nice for a change.
3: What do you like most / least about you live?
These are things you usually hear about California, but I don't care for the traffic, the fast pace of life, and the cost of everything.
The things I like most are enjoying the ocean and the beautiful weather, the wide variety of hiking spots with gorgeous views, and the wide variety of things you can do within a couple hours of driving. A common place my fiancé and I go to is Six Flags Magic Mountain, which is only about 2 1/2 hours away from where we live.
4: How long have you lived where you reside now?
I've been in this current apartment with my fiancé for about 2 years, but been living in Huntington Beach for about 3 1/2 years.
5: Where all have you lived?
This list is short :P
Clinton, Iowa
Decorah, Iowa (If you want to count the time I was in college)
Huntington Beach, California
Loving hearing about where everyone is from!
1: What is your town/city/state/country like?
I'm currently living in a rural area (20 min drive to nearest town), which is only 1 hour from London. Out my window at the moment I can see fields and trees and that's it, apart from the occasional dog walker.
2: What is the current weather where you are?
It's cloudy. Sometimes rainy. Had a fair amount of fog over the last few days.
3: What do you like most / least about you live?
It's home. I've lived in this house since I was 2 apart from 8 years round university. I know it like the back of my hand. The downside of this is that people know a lot about my life and my family (my grandparents bought the house about 60 years ago, my mum was born here etc...).
Least - the fact that I have to drive everywhere. Me and my other half are in the process of buying a house in the nearest town which should make things a bit easier (and not having both of us living with my dad will be a major set forward!)
4: How long have you lived where you reside now?
Umm in total since I was 2 so 26 years; the most recent stint is the last year since my mum got really sick.
5: Where all have you lived?

Cambridge, UK
Upminster (outskirts of London), UK

Welcome to the UK! I second what you say about tourists - outside of London, Edinburgh and clear tourist attractions there's a lot of the UK which is pretty quiet.
I'll still wear sleeveless tops here during the summer, but then I have much lower threshold than you for what counts as 'hot' probably!

1: What is your town/city/state/country like?
Kihei, HI is a small town, where most of the tourist stay when on vacation. The beach is always just right down the street no matter where you are in Kihei. It is pretty quite here for the most part, it gets crowded during the tourist seasons. There are 3 supermarkets and lots of cool places to eat and shop. But the big department stores are all in the next town over, which is really only 15-20 minutes away...
2: What is the current weather where you are?
Well the day is just starting here. The sun has just come up. But if it is going to be anything like yesterday than it is going to be hot. I think it got up to around 86F, it currently in the high 60s.
3: What do you like most / least about you live?
Well the weather is always nice! But I like the people and that everything is a few minutes away including the beach. I don't like how expensive it is getting to live here.
4: How long have you lived where you reside now?
14 years!!! Half of my life.
5: Where all have you lived?
-All over San Diego, for the first 14 years of my life.
-Here in Kihei.
-I did live in Corvallis, OR for about 9 months back in 2009 shortly after I got married. Then moved back to Kihei. And we are moving back there or in a town near there soon.

I'll still wear sleeveless tops here during the summer, but then I have much lower threshold than you for what counts as 'hot' probably!"
Yes! I will consider myself properly acclimated when I walk outside with a sleeveless top without hesitation.

1: What is your town/city/state/country like?
I don't really know, as I moved to Tucson, Arizona, to help take care of my father, who was dying and has since passed away. The reason I was able to easily move is because I'm single and disabled, unable to work. I don't leave the house much, so apart from those things I can see/do near my home, I couldn't tell you much about Tucson, except...
...There are a couple things, though: It's generally hot and sunny, except during monsoon season, when it's hot and rainy. We're now starting to have more like actual seasons, though. So we'll have mild winters (I had to have fires going in the fireplace for about two weeks this past winter); a true spring with weather in the 60s-70s, and then summer, when it's hot-hot-hot until it starts to cool down again toward winter (but we don't really have much of an autumn).
The other thing I can tell you about Tucson, and probably about all of Arizona, is that mental health care here is awful. I am disabled by Major Depressive Disorder and three severe anxiety disorders, but finding good mental health practitioners has proven to be impossible (and even the physical doctors I've found are not that great). I miss Seattle. :'(
2: What is the current weather where you are?
Even though it's technically still winter, our "winter" lasted maybe two weeks and we've been in Spring ever since. It's starting to feel like summer, but so far, the weather has been "nice." It's currently 82°F and sunny. (This is the hottest day so far this year.)
3: What do you like most / least about you live?
The most is being close to my mother (and my father, when he was alive); I live in their house. They have a car, so I can drive to places, which is nice when I have the rare thing to do outside the house. (I haven't had a car of my own since sometime in 1998-99.) I was able to finally get a dog of my very own. He started out as a puppy but soon he'll be my service dog (I'm doing train-your-own-dog service-dog-training and he's already my service dog, but he's not quite ready for all-things-public as he's still a puppy) and we can live anywhere. (My past homes, apart from those in my formative years, were in apartments that did not allow dogs.)
What I like least is pretty much everything else: I don't like the weather (I prefer cold and rainy/overcast; here it's sunny and warm/hot or rainy and warm/hot). I don't like the critters (I'm sort of afraid - alright, I am afraid - to be outside because of the spiders they have here. I've seen two tarantula spiders (one very much alive - I screamed and had hysterics, I'm afraid - and one dead). So I don't go outside beyond our back porch too often. I don't like the health care system, where I have had just the worst luck at finding good, quality care...and I haven't found good, quality, care; I discovered, after my father died and I had a bad few months of forgetting to take my prescriptions, that I don't really need the prescriptions any more. I'm the most stable I've been without meds in years, and it's all thanks to my dog. So I haven't seen a doctor since before my father passed away; it's been a year and a half and we're/I'm still counting (and still fine).
4: How long have you lived where you reside now?
I came here to my parents' house to housesit for them at the end of September 2012, while they went off on a trip to ... (Europe, I think) ... The father who left, though, was not the father who came back, so while I had originally planned to return home in January (my parents returned in November but I decided to stay with them for Thanksgiving, my December birthday, Christmas, and New Year's) and move to Arizona in the fall/winter of 2013, my timetable was moved up drastically because my father had declined so much on their trip that he really couldn't be left alone in the house while my mother was at work. So I returned to my home in Seattle as planned in January; I arrived home on the 9th, met with movers on the 10th, celebrated my 15th anniversary of living in Seattle on the 16th, had my life packed up on the 16th-18th, and then flew to Arizona on the 19th, with my belongings following on a truck. . . .
I've been here ever since.
5: Where all have you lived?
***Huntington Beach, CA: I was born in southern California and lived the first three years of my life there (which I don't remember).
***Montclair/Pomona, CA: My parents moved to the suburbs when I was three, so I spent all of my P/K-12 years in Montclair/Pomona, CA (our house was in Montclair, but we had a Pomona mailing address for all of the years I lived there).
After 18.5 years in California, I was eager to escape.
***Pullman, Washington: I moved to Pullman for college at Washington State University, where I lived off and on for four (and a half) years in student housing and rental houses.
***Spokane, Washington: I lived with relatives in Spokane for my first summer (and second summer, when I was in the U.S.) of college, 1994 (and '95).
***Russia: I spent my junior year of college in Russia. I lived in Vladivostok, Russia, in July 1995 and Irkutsk, (Siberia), Russia from September 1995 to August 1996.
***Prague, Czech Republic: My senior year of college was not my last. :'( Sadly, I had an awful student advisor in my freshman year, so I didn't take the right classes to finish my Business B.A. in only four years (my Russian B.A. was done by the time I returned to the U.S. from my year abroad). When I found out I'd have to do an additional semester, I went to the Foreign Exchange Department and asked them to find me the classes I'd need at a university outside the U.S., and preferably in Europe/Russia. They found a program for me at the University of Economics in Prague, so I lived there to finish my college education from September to December of 1997.
***Seattle, Washington: After I was finally done with schooling/college, which I finished in Prague in December of 1997, I went back to Irkutsk to celebrate the holidays and then moved to Seattle. I arrived on January 16th and stayed with a friend and his roommate for a few days, then my friend and I found an apartment together. We lived in that apartment for a year (January 1998-January 1999) and then were established enough to branch out on our own. So I moved into what would be my home for the next 14 years: an apartment on Capitol Hill that I LOVED.
So I lived in Washington State for 19.5 years.
***Tucson, Arizona: As previously mentioned, I moved to Tucson in January of 2013 to help take care of my father, who was dying and has since passed away (in September of 2014). I'm hoping to move north, ideally back to Seattle, soon, but it's looking like this is not going to happen. I can't afford to move on my own, and my mother can't afford to help me (when I moved TO Arizona, my parents paid and then I paid them back over the next few months). It's looking more and more like I'll be here until my mother dies. :'( (Unless she can find a way to move north, where my brother lives in Oregon. Then I'd be able to move, too.)
I've lived in Arizona now for 3 years and counting.
So that was probably more than you wanted to know, but I guess I needed to share. ;-)

The little town where I live is next to the Sonian Forest, so there's a lot of greenery here (I live across from a park). My friends often describe my town as 'boring' but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else, I like the quiet. We have a lot of expatriates from neighbouring countries which I think it's fun.
2: What is the current weather where you are?
It was sunny but still chilly, around 5°C (approx. 40°F)
3: What do you like most / least about you live?
Most: It's a quiet town and I can really relax after a stressful day at work and the capital is still accessible (it's a half an hour drive). Our town has enough of activities which I enjoy such as the Highland games and VW oldies reunion in May (I love those), and the Grape festival in September.
Least: There's a lot of coming and going of residents and neighbours, I don't have the time to get to know people and sometimes it's too quiet.
4: How long have you lived where you reside now?
Almost 8 years now.
5: Where all have you lived?
I've always lived in Flanders - Belgium but moved 4 times (by province): Brussels-Capital region, East-Flanders, and Flemish- Brabant (moved twice).

1: What is your town/city/state/country like?
I live in Kaneohe on the Island of Oahu in the state of Hawaii, USA. It's beautiful with majestically towering mountains, ocean views. It's more like a sprawling suburb -- very small town. We're just spread out.
2: What is the current weather where you are?
This morning was beautiful, hot & sunny. Right now it's overcast. It rains just about every afternoon & evening for at least a little while. It's very green & pretty.
3: What do you like most / least about you live?
You need do drive at lease 13 miles for decent shopping or a bookstore. We have a lot of fast food places, but only 3 sit-down restaurants.
4: How long have you lived where you reside now?
My entire life!!
5: Where all have you lived?
I'll probably live and die in a 5-mile radius! It's good to travel, but even better to come back home. The sad thing is that when retirement comes, we're going to have to move away if we want to survive...

I live in Minnesota, so it is very beautiful with lakes and forests and nice small safe towns and cities.
2: What is the current weather where you are?
Rainy, but not cold. This is our snowiest month but we are unseasonably warm and getting our spring snow as rain.
3: What do you like most / least about you live?
I like the people but do not like the winters
4: How long have you lived where you reside now?
All of my life
5: Where all have you lived?
Here

2: What is the current weather where you are? In the 60s (Fahrenheit)
3: What do you like most / least about you live? I like that it is in the mountains. I dislike that I am allergic to so much here.
4: How long have you lived where you reside now? In this town since 2008 in this house since 2010
5: Where all have you lived? At least 5 cities in Ohio, in 7 cities in Florida and 1 in Arizona

1: What is your town/city/state/country like?
I live in Amadora near Lisbon (Portugal)
2: What is the current weather where you are?
Sunny but with some clouds. We're moving from Winter into Spring.
3: What do you like most / least about you live?
Living just next to the capital and near everything. The country is very small, so I'm a 15 minutes drive from the beach, or a 20 minutes drive from the country side. Being an old country also has plenty of history and picturesque villages to visit. I love my country.
I like the less the 4 weeks it always take for me to have physical copies of the books I enjoy, the current financial crisis because people are stupid and always swing votes between two evils. And the traditional Portuguese mentality. Sometimes is like we're on the 50s.
4: How long have you lived where you reside now?
18 years.
5: Where all have you lived?
Lisbon, Portugal
Ciudad Bolivar, Venezuela
Amadora, Portugal

It's a small town that doesn't really have any attractions, but nearby is Placerville which is an old gold mining town from back when the 49ers came out during the Gold Rush. It has lots of restaurants and shops that are awesome to go to, plus a great used bookstore. We have a great 4th of July parade and an even greater Christmas parade. We even have the old Wagon Train come through town every summer. We are in the foothills, so we get 4 distinct seasons, but unfortunately not much snow :( Anyways, it's a really nice small town, and everyone likes it.
2: What is the current weather where you are?
Sunny and pretty hot feeling because we just got over a ton of rain and it's starting to warm up for spring.
3: What do you like most / least about you live?
I love the small town thing - it's not super busy, but we're not in the middle of nowhere either. I also like that we are about 2 hours from the coast and San Francisco and 2 hours from the mountains and Lake Tahoe. I don't like that we almost never get snow and that when we do, it usually doesn't stick.
4: How long have you lived where you reside now?
About 4 years.
5: Where all have you lived?
I have only lived around here. To be specific: Folsom, California, USA; Placerville, California, USA; and Diamond Springs, California, USA.
