Bye Bye Wish List
Eek! I hope they are able to fix it. There's no way I could reconstruct mine... I just was in my wish list a little bit ago, so I think I'm in the clear for the moment.
I hope they are able to restore your wishlist Janice...there are always a few treasures one forgets about whenever you search through things you have saved. I was actually hoping mine had vanished....but no, there it was!!! Like any other collection of things when left out of view, for any length of time, things need to be discarded. My wishlist is much lighter now!
I never let my wish list get longer than two or three pages. I keep the most interesting at the top. I do this by putting the ones that I want at the top, first into the shopping cart. From the cart you can put them back in your wish list. In this way they end up at the top. I hit upon this method a year or two ago.......

At that point, I know there are some books I'll never get to as new higher priority items come to the fore. I do enjoy browsing my list each time I need a new audiobook, so I don't prioritize them as I don't know what I'm in the mood for until that moment.
It's still missing this morning. I'm not overly concerned about it because I have a shelf here on Goodreads that contains all the books. I probably use it more than the one on Audible because Audible's is so cumbersome to manage. If I have to rebuild it, I can omit some that need to be weeded out.
I’m now afraid to go to the site to check. It would be disastrous if I lost my wish list—I wouldn’t be able to recreate it. This is like the Schrödinger's cat thought experiment. Right now, my wish list simultaneously exists and does not exist in the current state. If I don't open it, it still exists, right? Physics primer here (if interested)
Apparently, Audible has a record of it. I specifically asked the guy if they did and he confirmed that. They were in the middle of site updates that caused the glitch - updates to enhance the user's experience. HA! Ironic isn't it? You should check, Grumpus. Because if it's missing and you contact them regarding it, perhaps it will help to pinpoint the problem area.
Grumpus wrote: "I don't know what I'm in the mood for until that moment. "Makes sense. I order only the first page of the three.

I had this problem about a week ago, they already fixed mine and my wish list was restored. It just took awhile.
I added 3 books from the new releases this morning. I don't know what's going to happen with the 3 new books when they go to restore my wish list. Did you add any new books to your list, Brandy? And did it affect the restore?
I think I did add some and they showed up when it was fixed. Also I was told that you can still look at your wishlist on the mobile site.

Brandy wrote: "I think I did add some and they showed up when it was fixed. Also I was told that you can still look at your wishlist on the mobile site."They told me that too, but the mobile site didn't have my wishlist either. He seemed a bit surprised to hear that.
So, 4 weeks later....My wishlist is back, sort of. New selections added after March 10 don't show on my wishlist with the exception of one. It happened to be one I used as an example in an email to Audible.
It's a hit or a miss if the book page will show the new additions as "in my wishlist". Some do; some don't.
I've deleted books from my wishlist, and they still show on the book page as being in my wishlist.
At this point, I'm mainly frustrated with Audible's silence. Their emails say that they will keep me updated with their progress, but they don't. I have to constantly email them with reminders that the issue still isn't fixed.
It's a cluster fluster and I'm beginning to think they have no further interest in fixing the problem. An occasional email from them updating me on their progress would go a long way to restoring my confidence in them.
I think Audible is having trouble with the wishlist pages. I tried deleting books from the list and every time I had to delete at least two times, sometimes more to get the books to disappear.
Jeanie wrote: "I had trouble deleting some too. At least I haven't had trouble adding them to the Cart."Jeanie, that they would fix quickly! ;0)
Their repairs to the wishlist are anything but quick. I think it's time to remind them that I still have the problem. I'll update them since they refuse to update me.
My wish list today has a new look. There's a banner on the wish list page that asks: How do we look? Also announces enhancements in the wish list and more improvement in the works. I don't see any way to actually comment, the banner is not clickable, so not sure why it asks the question. There's now two ways to view, grid or list view. Both are more streamlined. I usually prefer the more info, so list view types.
Pamela wrote: "My wish list today has a new look. There's a banner on the wish list page that asks: How do we look? Also announces enhancements in the wish list and more improvement in the works. Maybe they are slowly rolling out the updates. I generally use Firefox and haven't had any issues as reported here, thankfully. In any case, Audible should work the same no matter what the browser.
Everybody check their library too - my wish list is the same but my library is waaay different. Not a fan so far.
I dumped my wish list after this most recent sale. I couldn't remember why I wanted most of them so I decided to start afresh. Now my wish list has 2 books on it.
Well, I've always been a rather stodgy person. I get comfortable with the way things are and usually don't like change. This new Wish List seems too elaborate. I prefer the simple list they had before.
Mine looks the same. However, I noticed that 2 books that I have on my list that had not yet been published (but had been advertised on Audible) now will not be available on Audible. Not very happy about that. :(
It made me log in to Audible twice. I went to audible.com.
I clicked "My wishlist" and get prompted for my password (and 2-factor identification code), which is normal, I think.
I then clicked "Library" and it asked for my log-in credentials again, which highly annoyed me, as I had just logged in...
But after I couldn't see the new layout anymore.
Apparently the new URL for the wishlist is this:
https://www.audible.com/wishlist
The old URL is https://www.audible.com/wl
Difference in looks:

What's desperately missing in the new layout is the price information. Now you have to click each book to see that info, which is a step back from what was before. You can't immediately see when a book in your wishlist is on sale. This will stop me from buying a lot of books (as I don't like clicking), so good for my wallet, bad for Audible's bottom line.
Other than that, I like the new look. A more condensed overview of your wishlist.

That login issue you describe is what is preventing me from getting to my library. I can't get past that login screen even though I'm using the correct password. Audible has not solved this for me yet.

I clicked your link for the new list, and I get my same old list.
When I clicked on the list to see the difference between the two, I noticed the new list has the option to show the books in a grid or a list. Yours shows the grid view. What happens if you chose the list view? Will you get the prices back?
Janice, I'm sad to say, I, too, only see the old layout now. Even tried to clear the cache, or open it in an incognito window, but apparently the update has been rolled back for me. If/when I get the new layout again, I'll test it, and see what happens when I click on what button. :)
I see the same (old) wish list whichever link I click on. However, the last couple days, when I go to the site, i see weird coding words showing up, overlaying what is there. If I refresh, that goes away.
Are these layout changes in the WishList perhaps on SmartDevices? I'm still on a PC, Win7, and I'm not seeing any changes (other than taking 2 repeats to delete a book from the WL). Many thanks to Marcel for offering actual pictures of the two.
If the "new" layout leaves off the pricing information, or doesn't at least show it when you hover on the book cover, as the Witches in Discworld say "There WILL be consequences." As in, lots and lots of us will be fussing at them until they Put It Back.

Oh! Glad you posted that, I can't log in to make a purchase, must be a site problem then. Thanks

Totally agree. Hope the UK site remains on the old format for now. Having all the info missing is just awful.
I don't have the new wish list yet either. I'm sure hoping that Audible is listening to customer concerns, and the improvements are about making it "work better," rather than making it "look different." No prices or sorting by prices in the wish list would be a deal breaker for me.
Audiothing wrote: "Oh! Glad you posted that, I can't log in to make a purchase, must be a site problem then. Thanks"Yeah, same as you, I can't purchase anything through Chrome either. I have to use Explorer which is neither my default or preferred browser.
Audible is back to the old version for me yesterday and today. What I did see with the new layout was the "grid" view was limited in showing anything other than the cover. There was a button that gave more info, albeit limited and I don't remember if pricing was included there.
The "list" view did show pricing and gave different sorting options, including pricing. It looks like it defaults to the grid view when first clicking on wish list, which is the screen shot that Marcel provided. I'm definitely not a fan of grid views.
Related to the Wish List changes... I just visited my Library and it's completely different. It has categories indicating how many books in my Library are in each--interesting--and claims to know which books I've finished--not based on which I've rated since The Beast is "Finished" but I didn't rate it--and now gives an accurate total of book titles. On the down side... how the heck do I download a book?! Apparently, if it has been downloaded once, that option disappears. Then I tried to find the book to re-download and clicking on the title only sent me to its page. when I returned to the Library, the title was gone. Rather than pages it tells me to load more, but the title was still gone. Using the regular search feature didn't work... no clue yet how it's structured.
Sigh... anyone have any experience with the new look to let me know how I might find a title and re-download since the first went astray? I know I'll get used to this new set up eventually, but I really do hate such radical changes that make it nearly impossible for me to use my Library at all.
Soooo not happy with this new library. It is a total pain. And it doesn't show you a download link for new books, so you can't tell what you've downloaded. And the link to check the series is gone. Anyway, you need to hover over the space right after the book name. "Quick Look" will show. Click on that, which takes you to more info on the book (not really, but it gives like 2 more bits of info) and there will be a download link on the right. I really can't believe they set this up for the initial download ... soooo not happy. Best of luck!PS You will of course need to search for the book first so it's showing in the library. Forgot that part, lol ... The top left search box worked for me by title or by author.
There's been no change to either my library or wishlist. My wishlist still isn't showing any additions past March 10.
Janet wrote: "Mine's still the old format....go figure."Same here. Old format. Sounds like I might not want the new format!
Still have the old format, too. Doesn't sound like the software people paid any attention to our list of desired features.Audible, are you reading?
I envy you folks who have the old format! They made one--and ONLY one--improvement... if you use the List View in the new Library it also lists the narrator. But there is no Download button!!! (I can't "hover" since I use a screen reader so I can't find the blasted thing!) What are they thinking? And what is this crap about hours and minutes left? Do they think everyone will listen via the Cloud? Oh, and no place to rate a book from the Library.
Do their software developers not know how the site is used or what it is used for?! Aaaargh!!!
Audible, what are you people thinking?
After searching online I found a page that says this is a Beta test of the new Library page. I hope I get a survey to give my feedback!Apparently, they plan to hide all the existing features other than title, author, narrator, and hours/minutes left to listen. I have no idea why that last item rates permanent display. If you hover over the right spot you get the ability to rate, buy the matching Kindle book, and even download, plus the play button is there. I have no idea why they wanted to hide these features. They also removed links to the pages of the Library so you click on Load More at the bottom and more titles show up... not sure I like this or why they switched it.
The two cool additions are the aforementioned narrator's name and having your books categorized: mystery, sci-fi, romance, fiction, etc. if you want. I haven't tried the search feature yet... I'll need more patience!

If all else fails, I have a shelf here on Goodreads called "audible-wishlist" and can recreate it myself. I hope it doesn't come to that, though. It would be a lot of work.
I just wanted to give people a heads up about the website's problem.
